This comfortable house, typical of the region and tastefully decorated, sleeps 4 people and is conveniently situated in the thriving market town of Vinca.

The house has 2 comfortable bedrooms, twin bedded room and a double bedded room. The double room leads out on to one of the sunny terraces, with great views of the surrounding countryside and mountains.

The living area is open plan, with the kitchen, dining and sitting area taking up all of the middle floor. The kitchen opens up on to a terrace, which makes eating outside easy.

In the heart of the Conflent Valley region, Vinca is on the shores of a reservoir and also has a large swimming or sailing lake with a beach area, ideal for sunbathing. (The lake is patrolled by a lifeguard in summer). The town is nestled beneath Mount Canigou, the most impressive landmark of the region rises to 2,784 meters, Rudyard Kipling said of Mount Canigou that it was 'a magician among mountains'.

There are a number of bars, restaurants and shops in the town, all within walking distance of the house. You can keep in touch with you friends and family back home as one of the bars offers a wireless internet connection.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need for holiday dining. The living area is open plan with the kitchen, dining and sitting areas taking up the first floor.

This area can be used as a tranquil getaway with lovely walks and hikes starting from your own front door.

Vinca is a great base for visiting some fantastic nearby places of interest:
* Villefranche de Conflent, a fine example of a medieval walled town and the Little Yellow Train
* Grottes de Canalettes, magnificent renowned caves with an incredible light and sound show
* St Michel de Cuxa, 6th century abbey that hosts concerts during the Pablo Casals festival.
* St Thomas les Bains, outstanding natural thermal hot springs in wonderful outdoor mountain setting.
* Spain is only 40 minutes from Rodès or you can take a longer trip and visit Andorra, 2 hrs away passing some breathtaking scenery.
* Sporting activities are in abundance here, you can experience, water sports, diving, walking, canyonning, horse riding, fishing, golf, cycling to name but few.
*Vinça lake has a beach area, you can swim or sunbathe only 400m from the house.
