Charming old house situated in a small village at 1000m of altitude in the Oriental Pyrenees. This 12th Century house has large and friendly living rooms. A terrace offers a magnificent view onto the mountain of the Canigou (2800m). The quiet and well-preserved village is situated, near the main roads, in an excellent location from where you can explore the area. A Nature Reserve that offers numerous possibilities of hiking is located just behind the village. The Oriental Pyrenees have a double advantage: the mountain and the sun. This region, close to Spain (Barcelona), is a place steeped in history.

Activities
The house is located in very well preserved mountain village. The road stops at the entrance of the village. It is therefore exceptionnally quiet and safe. Behind the village, one can hike in the mountain as there are many trails in a Natural Reserve. Tis village is a paradise for those who love nature, beauty and quietness.
It is also located in a region wich offers many opportunities, in terms of mountain sports and cultural sites to visit. This region is famous for its roman churches and abbeys.
The famous Pablo Casals festival (chamber music) is held in July in Prades, which is 20 minuts from the house.
We also are one hour far from the seaside and the beautiful mediteranean coast (Banyuls, Collioure...).
The region also has many vineyards and mediteraneen fruit productions (apricots, peaches...).
