Chris and Barrie Guard would like to welcome
you for a holiday in Ille-sur-Têt in the foothills of the Pyrenees, close to the Mediterranean and the Spanish border. Sun, Sea and Mountains !

Enjoy the stunning scenery or explore the cultural diversity of this fascinating area of French Catalonia. Then relax in a shady corner of the grounds or take a swim in the pool.

Villa Canigou stands in an acre of ground, which the French refer to as a ‘parc’. It is secluded and peaceful, being surrounded by a variety of trees.
It has a southern aspect and from the house and garden there are lovely views towards the mountains. Despite the seclusion, the town of Ille is only a few minutes walk away, where you can find a twice weekly market, bars and shops, as well as the historical old town.

Accommodation is in a twin or double room with shower en suite. There is a guest lounge with satelite TV , games, an extensive library and a CD Player.

the pool area has a fully equiped kitchen
with barbecue.

Ille –sur-Têt is in Pyrenées Orientales (or P.O.) , the most southerly départment in France, which is bounded on the south by Spain ,on the east by the Mediterranean,and on the west by Andorra. Hence Sun, Sea and Mountains !

The town lies half way down the valley of the river Têt as it flows from the Pyrenées through Perpignan and from there to the Mediterranean sea.
An important town in medieval times, Ille retains many original architectural features and is a few minutes stroll away from Villa Canigou. Apart from its interesting historical features, the town has a comprehensive range of shops and inviting cafes. It lies in a valley of fruit trees growing peaches and nectarines in the warm rays of the Roussillon sun and the fresh local produce is featured in the two market days which take place in the town every week. Furthermore, Ille-sur-Têt is perfectly situated as a centre for exploring the beautiful landscape and rich heritage of this unique area.

Ille-sur-Têt is 15 miles west of Perpignan, with easy access via a dual carriageway. Perpignan, the capital city of PO, was also the capital of Roussillon, the old name for this area, before becoming part of Aragon, the former kingdom in the north-west os Spain. Catalan culture and language are still very much alive in this area, which is sometimes referred to as French Catalonia.

From the villa, one looks out over peach orchards to the foothills of the Pyrenees and the stunning peaks of the Canigou mountain massif.

Large barbecue attached to outdoor kitchen. Table tennis, swing and rope ladder. Pool has WC, changing and shower. Sunbeds provided and beach towels.We are family friendly and non smoking. Cars can be parked safely on the property.

				High Season Price:	€2,000 per Week

Apr-Jun, Oct €1600 (£1350) pw Jun/Jul, Sep €1800 (£1520) pw Jul/Aug €2000 (£1689)exchange rates may have changed. Payment should be made by cheque for the full amount as soon as possible after arrival. We expect a 25% deposit payable when the booking form is sent. The balance is due eight (8) weeks prior to the start of the rental period. If the reservation is made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period, full payment will be required with the initial booking form. In the event of the clients not being able to take up the rental, following full payment, the owners will make every effort to relet the villa. If an alternative client is found for part or whole of the original rental, the proportionate refund will be made, less the reservation deposit.
