We have recently converted our 19th century stable into our family home and characterful gites. We are registered with the Gites de France and have been awarded 3 stars, which ensures a high standard of fixtures and fittings as well as a comprehensive inventory for the kitchen.  
Our property is in the heart of a vibrant village, St Laurent de la Salanque, which has a market twice a week all year round. 
Situated close to the beaches of Le Barcares and Canet Plage, the Pyrenees for skiing or walking, golf in St Cyprien, Andorra for duty free shopping and Spain for picturesque day trips.  
The weather here has been fantastic all year round for at least the last 3 years, so whether it is a summer holiday you are looking for or a winter break, with some warm sunshine, we are ideally located.  
If you are a rugby fan, we are near to Perpignan, a city of culture and the home of the Catalan Dragons Rugby team and USAP.  
All the bedrooms have beautiful exposed stonework. 
Bedroom 1 has a 140cm double bed with two bedside tables two lamps and a chair. We have an electric heater under the south facing window. There is a large built in wardrobe with plenty of shelving and hanging space. In the ensuite there is a shower with curtain, and a washbasin with a cupboard underneath. Extra shelves are built in the ensuite area. 
Bedroom 2 has a large double bed 160cms with two bedside tables, two lamps and a chair. A set of shelves and a cupboard with hanging space, is provided for clothing. There is a window with a heater on the wall beneath. 
The Mezzanine is open plan and is the full length of the house. It has a velux window providing plenty of light. There are four single beds of 90cm in this room (sharing two bedside tables), 2 lamps and a chair. We have put a hanging rail under the beams and have two sets of drawers for clothing.  
There are solid wooden floors in all of the bedrooms. 
The main bathroom is on the first floor and is tiled in white, giving a clean, fresh look. We have a large bath with mixer taps and a large standing area within the bath for the shower. The main light is provided by three spots. 
A mirror and shelf unit containing a light is on the wall above the washbasin. A set of wooden freestanding shelves provides storage for wash items and towels. We have put hooks for towels and clothing on the back of the door. We have put a hairdryer in the gite for your use. There is a toilet and toilet roll holder. A hand towel and bath mat are provided.  
Bedroom 2 has an ensuite with a shower and a washbasin. There is a mirror with a light above the basin. There is plenty of storage available in the cupboard under the washbasin and shelving by the shower. 
Downstairs we have put in a very convenient cloakroom, with a toilet and a washbasin with mirror above and a cupboard below. Behind the door we found an ideal place to hang the ironing board! 
NB We do not allow smoking inside the gite. 
Inside the gite we have tried to make it a real 'home from home.' Having recently finished the gite, the interior is very clean and fresh looking with most of the fixtures and fittings being brand new or having a bit of quirkiness! Nearly all of the appliances and kitchen equipment are new which hopefully will help to make your stay more pleasureable.  
There is a wood burning stove downstairs and electric heaters in all rooms except the cloakroom. 
There is pedestrian access through a gate to the front doors, with parking space outside for cars. 
Each gite has its own south-facing terrace with table and chairs, leading down to the communal walled garden, which is pebbled. In the garden we have a bbq as well as an outside shower for cooling off and a pergola, which has proved popular for both shade and for the odd aperitif!!  
We also have children's toys and a slide. 
The back gate can be kept locked if we have children staying.

St Laurent de la Salanque is ideally situated in the Pyrenees Orientales, which is a region that has so much to offer from its beautiful sandy beaches which include CANET PLAGE and LE BARCARES, fantastic day trips to VILLEFRANCHE LE CONFLUENT and the LITTLE YELLOW TRAIN, ANDORRA, the home of tax-free shopping, CERET, famous for its cherries and museums of modern art, the famous CATHARE castles, the picturesque coastal village of COLLIOURE, popular with the artists and, of course, the medieval city of CARCASSONNE. The African Reserve at SIGEAN is popular among families and open all year round.  
All year there are many local festivals held throughout the region. There will be something to suit all tastes! 
Travelling here is easy with Ryanair, Easyjet, Flybe and Bmibaby. Our closest airports include Perpignan (17kms), Beziers (100kms), Carcassonne (120kms), Gerona, Spain (122kms), Montpellier (157kms), Toulouse (213kms) & Barcelona (223)

				Season Rate
				Low Season Price:	€580 per Week
				High Season Price:	€1,080 per Week

We ask for a 25% deposit, with the balance to be paid on or before arrival. Payments can be made in British pounds into our UK bank account. This is by prior agreement with us, as the rate of exchange will be advised in your contract. Payments can also be made in Euros into our French bank account by transfer or by sending us a French cheque. Please be advised that some transactions incur charges for which you will be responsible. The contract will come into effect once the deposit has cleared in our bank account. The balance may be paid in cash on arrival if you so wish. If you need to pay by credit card please ask us at the time of your enquiry as we can take your booking through our Gites de France reservation service. A damage contingency of 250€ will be required upon arrival; payable in cash or French cheque. For our cancellation policy, please ask for our booking conditions. In mid and low season we also do weekend rates.
