Vacation Rental Description
Perpignan Airport - 15 minutes away. Carcassonne, Beziers and Girona - 1 and a half hours drive away. Note: Car Hire is cheaper in Spain. Spanish border only 30 minutes. Located in a quiet street a few hundred yards from the park, just 3 minutes from the town centre. Close to all amenities, including a fantastic local restaurant, bar and boulangerie, all only a few minutes walk away. The house is traditional in style, but with modern amenities and a large private terrace and balcony area at the rear of the house.
An ideal location for days out to the beach, mountains or experiencing local town life. Well served by local transport (bus and train), so no need to get stressed driving everywhere. As Millas is in the Tet valley, you have the best of both worlds - flat walking options around the town and immediate area, as well as more adventurous hillside routes to choose from. A perfect location for a stress free holiday with a range of both active and cultural options to pass the time away.
The house is entered from the ground floor which consists of the cave, utility area (fully equiped with washing machine and tumble drier) a toilet and a walled courtyard. In addition there is plenty of storage space in this area for bikes, skis or other items that do not need bringing up the stairs into the main part of the house. Parking is available outside the main door - there is also ample parking at the nearby free parking zone (less than a minute's walk away).
From the ground floor there are stairs to the first floor, and main area of the house. This area consists of a spacious lounge, with comfortable seating, coffee tables, Television (English Freeview), music system and a featured log burning stove (wood is provided free of charge and is purchased locally from an environmentally friendly renewable energy source). Just off one part of the lounge is the main toilet and bathroom with full sized bath and shower. And from the other part is a fully equiped kitchen with cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and smoothie maker. Also from the kitchen and lounge, is a large 20 ft private (not overlooked) terrace and L shaped balcony which is a dominant feature of this traditional catalan town house. The terrace also provides for an ideal outdoor eating space and is equiped with an eating table, parasol and chairs.
On the second floor (top of the house) is a very large 25ft family bedroom with a kingsize bed and two futon style single chairs/beds. The second bedroom consists of a Kingsize bed also. An open plan occasional room and landing divides the two main bedrooms and also hosts a double futon bed and seperate toilet. There are beds for 8 people in total. it is however our view that this house comfortably suits six adults and perhaps two children. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space throughout the bedrooms. All rooms have low energy electric fixed wall heaters.

Rental Notes: Changeover days are flexible. Departure by 11am. Arrivals after 4pm. (negotiable) - Only full week bookings normally considered during peak periods. Short Break bookings welcomed at other times. We require a 25% non-refundable booking deposit with your reservation. Final payment is required 8 weeks before the start of the rental period - this can be made in either Euro's or Sterling. We require a £50 security deposit with each booking. This may be given to us as a cheque, prior to the booking. This cheque will be returned, un cashed, following our inspection of the house after departure. It is expected that visitors will leave the house in a clean and tidy condition with the beds stripped and with any breakages replaced. Keys are obtained from a key safe attached to the house. On booking you will be given the contact details of our local English housekeeper who can be contacted in an emergency.
