This spacious one bedroom duplex apartment is situated in the heart of Sorède, a friendly Catalan village just 10 minutes from the sea. It is nevertheless found in a quiet & peaceful setting. Parking is free & easily found nearby. It has been newly renovated throughout to a high standard. Apartement Des Abres is a roomy comfortable apartment with good views. Though totally independent it is part of Gites Sorède, which also includes another one bedroom apartment & a two bedroom house. The local shops, restaurants and market square are within a couple of minutes walk.
Outside Large totally private eating terrace with good views over trees, grass & village all tilled with terracotta tiles. A table chairs & sun loungers are provided.
Kitchen: This leads directly from the terrace via french doors. The fully equipped solid oak kitchen, wooden worktops & Catalan tiles are of a very high standard. There is everything you might need if you feel like staying in, including, dishwasher, full size built in oven, built in fridge/freezer, hob with 4 rings, microwave, toaster & kettle. The cutlery crockery & cookware is of a high standard so suitable for a longer term rental too.

Sitting room/ dining room This leads directly from both the terrace & kitchen. There is a sofa bed, coffee table, marble table & chairs, TV & CD/radio & pictures. This is a large comfortable room with plenty of storage.
Upstairs
Bedroom with good size double bed comfortable mattress, wall lights, bedside table, lamp & large french doors to a balcony with wonderful views. The floor is a newly laid in wood.
Bathroom Modern with glass mosaic tiles, quality glass shower unit with powerful shower, W.C. & sink. Sun pipes funnel in lots of natural light.

Des Arbres is only 10 mins drive to lovely sandy palm lined beaches & the stunning village of Collioure. This is a beautiful area to explore on foot or bicycle, strolling through vineyards or exploring local mountains & rockpools.
If you like markets Ceret has one of the best with music & streets packed with locally grown fruit & veg.
The local turtle park is worth a visit.
Spain is nearby,including pretty Girona & the well know Barcelona as are many pretty villages & towns
With an average of 300 days of sun a year you are sure to feel good & relaxed here.
