The imposing double front doors open onto a u-shaped hallway. Directly off the hallway is a double bedroom, bathroom (with walk-in shower, washbasin, wc and washing machine) and access to decked terrace. To the right of the hall a glazed door leads to the well equipped kitchen/diner with attractive log burning stove. Off the kitchen a doorway leads into the spacious oak beamed lounge with open fireplace. Another door returns you back into the hall (with access outside). In the lounge a stunning oak spiral staircase rises to the first floor, three spacious bedrooms and a family bathroom (bath with shower over, wc and wash basin).
Outside is a secluded large decked terrace, with swimming pool (approx 6m x 4m), and sun loungers. The terrace is perfect for catching the sun, eating alfresco and admiring the stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and countryside of the Malepere region of France.
Linen and towels are provided but please bring beach towels for the outside.
We have a No Smoking policy in the house.

The numerous castles, chateaus (Rennes les Chateau) and Cathar ruins in the area, drive through the Maleperes and Corbieres enjoying the stunning scenery. The foothills of the Pyrennees are dramatic with vineyards. This region has good links, easy access to safe, sandy beaches making it ideal for family summer holidays. The history, food, wine, landscape and sunny climate is enjoyed throughout the year. Spain and Andorra are just 2 hours or so away.
The medieval ‘La Cite’ in Carcassonne steeped in history, is just 30 minutes away.
The towns of Limoux and Mirapoix have markets (Fridays and Mondays respectively) rich with local specialities. Limoux is also renowned for its Blanquette and Cremant made locally.
Eating out in restaurants, the Cafe Galloise in Alaigne and Maison Gayda in Brugairolles and of course wine tasting at the numerous local domaines/vineyards.
