Steeped in history 300 year old house in a former weaving mill. This was the gatehouse and is situated in the entranceway to the village. Eat al fresco under the shade of the plane trees in the place of King Louis XIV. House is on three levels with bathrooms/shower on each floor. Large lounge/kitchen, separate tv room (cable).
The area is near beaches (30 mins) Meze, 5mins Lake Salagou (watersports, swimming) 35 mins to nearest golf, St Guilheim le dessert 20 mins beautiful abbey & artisans, Pezenas 15 mins famous for its antiques, art, beautiful old town, Pont d'able (river swimming in natural surroundings) 15min, Vias, largest European water park 20 min.

300 Year Old former Gatehouse

This former gatehouse to Villeneuvette is full of original features and charm. Sit outside in the shade of the plane trees for an al fresco lunch and listen to the fountain. Surrounded by woods and streams this place takes you back to rural France, although it is only 3km from the nearest town which has all the amenities you will need, from markets, bolongerie, chartrucier, cinema, medieval castle. Good for walking, swimming (lake 5mns) watersports, fishing, sea 30 mns. Village has a la carte restaurant, art exhibitions, jewelers, artisans. Small cafe for ice creams and sangria! Nearby towns include Beziers, Carcassonne, Montpellier.
