This self-catering holiday villa is situated in the Languedoc region of the South of France in a wonderful setting in a quiet hamlet between Cazedarnes and Cessenon. There are lovely views across the valley to limestone crags, vineyards, pines, olives, and mediterranean herbs and bushes. The luxurious self-catering accommodation comprises spacious living areas and 4 large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. These have lovely views out onto the pool and mature gardens with terrace and shady pine and olives. All is peaceful yet you can wander down to the village shops, bars and restaurants along a mainly metalled track in some 20 minutes by foot or a few minutes by car.  
 
When you enter the Villa you are greeted by the huge open plan living area of 100m2 with superb high vaulted ceilings. The house is very contemporary inside but has retained features such as the huge barn doors and a beautiful curved old brick ceiling. The tiled floors reflect these terracotta colours as do the three comfortable sofas, coffee table and cushions. There are the full range of creature comforts with a wood burning stove for winter, a flat screen TV with freeview satellite channels, dvd and cd player and internet access. There are lots of books, cds and dvds.  
 
The fully fitted kitchen has both a built-in electric oven and microwave and a 5-ringed gas hob set into an island unit so that you are not isolated as you cook. 
There is a good selection of equipment and utensils and everything you need to cater in style. There is an American fridge freezer and of course a dishwasher. The dining area has a spectacular French oak table offering seating for up to 10 people. On the ground floor also there is a utility room with washing machine, sink, iron and ironing board and separate wc.  
 
The barn doors open out onto one terrace and the two French doors open out onto a jasmine and bourgainvillea-clad terrace that overlooks the garden and pool with a table for alfresco dining. In the evening the limestone crags that top the valley sides turn pink in the sunset and later, because there is no light pollution, the skies are transformed into a brilliant picture of stars or moonlight.  
Stairs lead to the first floor landing where you can relax on the comfy sofas away from the main living area and choose one of the many books to read.  
 
All four bedrooms are furnished in a french country style to complement the original building as a wine-makers' barn. The beds in each room are superking size (180 x 200cm) with three of them able to be separated into twins (90 x 200cm each). They all have excellent mattresses (Vi-spring and Epeda) and first class linen. There is comfortable seating in each room where you can relax in private if you want. Each of the four bathrooms contains shower, wash basin, wc and heated towel rail. Two of the bathrooms have the additional benefit of a bath.

• Travel Info: A good range of airports serve the region. Carcassone - just over an hour. Beziers Cap D'Agde - 40 mins. Toulouse - 2 hours. Montpellier - 50 mins. Perpignan - one hour. Calais is a 10 hour drive, Caen is an 8 hour drive. Eurostar to Lille then TGV to Montpellier (local train to Beziers) is another fine way to travel here. Car hire or ownership is advisable.
