Le Cerisier is an old Vignerons house, which has been lovingly restored to offer a high standard of accommodation in the quaint, medieval french village of St Genies de Fontedit. There are numerous activities right on your doorstep. You will find beautiful walks through the vineyards, numerous routes for cycling on quiet roads or tracks, a perfect way to see the stunning countryside, birdwatching and why not sample the regions various wines at local domains.

All our B&B bedrooms have been recently redesigned and are finished to a high standard. All are en-suite with shower, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facililities. There is a guest lounge for relaxing with a TV/DVD and a library of books and DVD's for you to select. Our beautiful self-catering gîte apartment is on the top floor of Le Cerisier guesthouse, with roof terrace for relaxing and eating. The beautiful apartment with its exposed beams, is large with a double bedroom, leading onto the roof terrace, lounge with double sofa bed, leading onto the kitchen and dining area and bathroom. The gîte could be rented with an adjoining twin room for larger groups.

The beautiful valley of the River Orb is 5 miles to the west where you can swim, walk, fish or canoe, and visit picturesque villages such as Roquebrun and Vieussan.

The Mediterranean is less than 30 minutes away where there are numerous excellent beaches and resorts. There are lagoons, miles of unspoiled beaches, water sports and sea fishing all within a short drive.

The Canal du Midi, which connects the Atlantic and Mediterranean, runs through Bézier. It can be easily reached at many points between Carcassonne and Sete where it reaches the Med. Cycling, walking and boat hire can all be made part of your stay.

A breathtaking 20 mile drive to the north and you are into the beautiful and unspoiled Parc Naturel and the foothills, lakes and forests of the Black Mountains.
