A very pretty, well-equipped four-bedroom villa with gardens and large fully fenced swimming pool ideally set in a delightful medieval village with stunning views and close to the Mediterranean, Montpellier and Pezenas.

Villa Des Garrigues is the ideal holiday getaway for a large family or,for families or couples holidaying together. The house is spacious and well equipped; it has four bedrooms, three doubles, (one with an additional single bed and one with an en-suite shower room) and a twin bedroom. There is a separate family bathroom and a family shower-room as well as two separate toilets. The kitchen is light and very well fitted with a large fridge/freezer, microwave, cooker, hob and dishwasher. There is a large well-appointed sitting room and dining area with U.K satellite television. On the lower ground floor there is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, an additional fridge freezer, an additional shower room with toilet and ample storage space. There are lots of maps and guidebooks provided to assist you to explore this beautiful area of France. All linen and towels are provided free of charge as is electricity (except between November and April).

Outside is a pretty garden with stunning views across the Garrigues, the whole area has a wealth of vineyards and craggy stone outcrops. The garden has two covered terraces, a barbeque, and ample areas for sunbathing and of course a superb large swimming pool with Roman steps for easy access.

To assist you to enjoy the gardens, sunbeds, garden furniture and a hammock are provided. There are also four excellent adult bicycles provided for the use of guests to explore the local area, which is a cyclists dream.

The Local Area

If you manage to drag yourselves away from the pool then explore the beautiful village, St Pons de Mauchiens. There is a great deal of history; many of the buildings are almost 1000 years old. There is also a super bar/bistro just 5 minutes amble away which serves good local dishes. There is also a general shop and a post office. A two-minute drive or 30 minutes walk takes you to the village of St Pargoire with small supermarket, butcher, several bakers, a bar, a good restaurant, a pizzeria and a pharmacy.
The beautiful medieval town of Pezenas is a 10-minute drive away and Montpellier about 35 minutes.
Pezenas a very pretty medieval town with an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants. The centre is full of buildings dating back to the 16th & 17th centuries. There is also an excellent market on Saturday which provides an ideal opportunity to stock up on the wonderful regional delicacies, fresh salads and vegetables, meats, cheeses, seafood and of course the local wine. Take a stroll through the old town with its unique craft and clothes shops and finally stop at one (or two) of the many bars and bistros in the 'Place de 14th Juillet'. Pezenas is a wonderful place to explore in the evenings; it has great restaurants most of which are very family orientated.

You are perfectly placed for the Mediterranean; the nearest beaches can be reached in just 20 minutes. Close by is the holiday resort of Cap d'Agde. It has some 14 kilometres of fine beaches and many attractions for the children like 'Toonland' and the famous 'Aqualand' with its giant flumes, water slides and wave machine as well as a super 'tots area' for the very young.
As well as beaches, there are beautiful lakes, mountains and villages within one hours drive including St Guilhem, St Jean de Fosse and many more. Plenty of activities are to be found nearby including golf, horse Riding, sailing, fishing and tennis.
