Vacation Rental Description
Our fully and lovingly appointed house offers plenty of space for a generous and relaxed vacation for up to 5 persons. Its 140 sqm are spread over the upper two floors of a three-storey town house built in 1905 and located in the pretty village of Nézignan, located between the sea and the mountainous hinterland. The house offers traditional French charm adapted to today´s standards.
The stairwell with own entrance provides direct access to the first floor, comprising a bright pleasant kitchen with adjoining dining room and a spacious living / family room of 30 sqm. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, electric kettle and coffee machine, a tall fridge with freezer compartment and a gas stove with baking oven. There is also a large table for working or eating at, in addition to the extra facilities in the adjoining dining room, where there is also a fireplace.
In the living room (30 sqm) there is lots of space for relaxing: a couch, two easy chairs and a fullsize table and chairs for eating or playing cards etc. Here you will also find many English and German language books as well as a hi-fi set with several hundred CDs to listen to (rock/pop, jazz, classical and world music).
Two wide French windows open onto a large (20 sqm) terrace, ideal for al fresco breakfasts, dining, or just a glass of wine or some restful sunbathing. The terrace has a breakfast table and chairs, sunchairs and a large sunshade and overlooks a garden with fine trees and bushes.
On the second floor there are three bright, freshly renovated bedrooms with wood flooring. The bedrooms all have ample built-in wardrobe space. The main bedroom has a double bed, the other two have two single beds and one single bed respectively. Towels are provided but guests must bring their own bed linen. The redone family bathroom on the second floor contains a fullsize bath, shower and bidet. The separate toilet with handbasin is located on the first floor.
Since we use the house ourselves it is furnished in a caring and personal style, including some high quality furniture, pictures and the like. We use the groundstairs apartment ourselves for most of the season, and when in will be happy to give tips and advice on the region.

The sunny village of Nézignan is surrounded by vineyards and has a picturesque old town centre ideal for strolling through at the end of the day. In summer it offers free-of-charge musical and other activities in the public town space. The charming Renaissance town of Pézenas with its historical centre, attractive restaurants and good shopping including a farmer’s market is only 4 km distant.
There are attractive beaches all along the coastline, the nearest just 15 km away. Agde and Sète are well worth a visit and the Bassin de Thau with its pretty villages serves up great oysters. Further inland the surroundings are wilder and entice with romantic gorges, caverns, the Lac du Salagou and great walking/hiking trails through rocky Mediterranean landscape. Other prime places to visit for history, sightseeing or shopping are Montpellier, Béziers, St.Guilhem, Roquebrun, Narbonne and Perpignan as well as the various winegrowing regions.
