Le Pressoir is an old wine press building which has recently been totally refurbished to provide comfortable accommodation for 4/5 people. Within the gardens are a fenced swimming pool (7 metres by 3.5 metres), and a children's play area with swings, slide and climbing frame. As well as full access to the gardens, Le Pressoir also has its own roof terrace from which you have stunning views of the surrounding countryside and nearby medieval village of St Pons de Mauchiens. In gardens there are trees providing shade, sun loungers, table and chairs and a barbeque. We can also provide baby equipment such as pushchairs, cots, highchairs etc at no charge. 
 
The accommodation comprise of  
 
•A large living area with comfortable furnishings including sofa and easy chairs, coffee table, buffet unit, music center, TV with UK satellite channels (BBC, ITV etc) and DVD player. Leading off from this is  
•Very well equipped kitchen/dining area with cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and large fridge freezer.  
•Twin bedroom with large fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed side cabinets and French doors leading out onto the patio area.  
•Mezzanine bedroom (restricted head height) with double bed and furnishings. This is above the kitchen and overlooking the living area  
•Shower room. With shower, sink and toilet 
 
Our village is a quiet 20-minute amble through the vineyards. Here you will find a general provisions shop and The Cave co-operative selling local wine, it is a very pretty village with parts dating back 1000 years, there are some splendid walks around the village. There are shops,supermarket, bar and a restaurant in St Pargoire, two minutes drive away and more supermarkets in nearby Pezenas (10 Minutes) and Beziers (25 Minutes),also Pezenas has a wonderful street market every week. We are normally on hand to answer any questions and generally to make you welcome. Le Pressoir has maps, guidebooks and leaflets to guide you around the area. 
We are perfectly placed for the Mediterranean; the nearest beaches can be reached in just 20 minutes. As well as beaches, there are beautiful lakes, mountains and gorges within one hours drive. The area has large numbers of medieval towns and villages to visit including Pezenas, St Guilhem-le-Desert and the Cite of Carcassonne. For the more adventurous the Spanish border can be reached in about 90 minutes and a further hour takes you to Barcelona. 
 
Le Pressoir will suit families with children or couples holidaying on their own. We have many guests who return year after year. The area is tranquile and very friendly, there is much to do if you like walking, sight-seeing, shopping or just lazing by the pool or on one of the nearby beaches.

Le Pressoir is situated amongst the Languedoc vineyards, it has stunning views from its own private roof terrace. There are many local walks which allow you to discover the beautiful country-side, wander through the vineyards, discover the local villages, they are very friendly. Close by are many lovely beaches, some 'popular' some more hidden all wonderful on a hot summers day. The local country-side is known as the Garrigue, a huge area of rolling hills with stoney outcrops and masses of wild herbs which give off such wonderful scent and are yours to pick and take back to flavour home made dishes.

Le Pressoir is close to The Herault Gorge a fantastic venue for canoing and kayaking. It really is a wonderful day out for the whole family (children over 6 years old). You are transported up the gorge to the kayaks and then spend a tranquile 3-4 hours drifting down The Herault river through magnificent scenery. Stop off and enjoy a picnic, swim off of the rocks or do a spot of fishing. You finish back at your car for the short but beautifl drive back to Le Pressoir. 
There is a tennis court in the village and several golf courses within easy driving distance. We can usually provide bicycles for those wishing to explore the countryside, it's a great area for cycling. 
For those of a more 'laid back' disposition there are great beaches close by. The nearest is a Meze only 15 minutes from Le Pressoir. Not only does Meze have a great beach but also a beautiful harbour surrounded by good seafood restaurants, all of which are child friendly.

A deposit of 25% is required on booking, the balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival. Payment is by direct bank transfer. We welcome you from 4pm on the day of your arrival (luggage can be left at the property earlier) and ask that you vacate the property by 10am on the day of your departure. Although we class the pool as 'shared with owners' we rarely use the pool ourselves and normally guests will have it to themselves.
