Vacation Rental Description
The property was carefully converted into a home full of character. There are four bedrooms, two with double beds and two with twin beds, to accommodate up to eight guests in comfort.
Around the house, the garden abounds with a variety of flowers, trees and bushes, and offers two very large lawns. The pool (11m x 5m) is surrounded by a granite terrace and a pool house. In the orchard, almond, fig, and olive trees grow.
The home is filled with interesting furniture, paintings, drawings, photos, and crafts.
A terrace covered in antique tiles provides an ideal spot for outdoor meals. It overlooks the pool and gardens and has a great view of the countryside beyond. The warmth of the village, the charm of the countryside, and the history of this family dwelling combine to make it an ideal retreat.
The house enjoys a splendid view of the surrounding countryside. The plain unfolds through the adjacent vineyards and runs to Le Mont d'Oupia far in the distance. The nearby village is free of tourists, even though it is within a short distance of many points of interest.
The village is located in the Minervois, a part of the Languedoc Roussillon region. One of the latest wine labels is called La Livignière, which is well appreciated by Robert Parker, the renowned wine expert. Narbonne hosts a beautiful covered market, which is open every day from 7:00am till 1:00pm. Many important wine caves are scattered all around the region, and sampling is encouraged. On the way to Béziers, stop in Bizes (20 km), a small village that has the only olive cellar in the area, where one can buy different types of olive oil, olives, numerous types of jams, crafts, soaps, and much more. Every Sunday morning there's an excellent market in the village of Ferrals les Montagnes, up in the mountains (15 km) where one can find lots of different types of food including bread, fish, meats, cheeses, jams, and much more.
