OVERVIEW 
Superb location on the edge of the historic village of MONTPEYROUX in the heart of one of the finest wine growing regions, close to MONTPELLIER, CLERMONT L'HERAULT and the World Heritage Site of ST GUILHEM LE DESERT. 
The one bedrrom Gite adjoins a typical MEDITERRANEAN STYLE VILLA. It is self-contained with its own entrance, and is available on a self-catering basis to non-smokers. 
The owners are a hospitable retired English couple who are there if you need them.

Living Area - Doors to south-west facing patio garden, UK HD satellite TV/Radio, French TNT TV, DVD/CD Player, WiFi Access. 
Kitchen Area - Breakfast bar, hob, oven, microwave, fridge 
Utility Area - Washing machine, ironing board, iron etc 
Bedroom - Doors to south-west facing patio garden, king size bed, built-in wardrobe, ceiling light/fan, radio/CD/cassette player. 
Bathroom - Full size bath, over-bath shower, basin, WC, hairdryer, heated towek rail. 
Patio Garden - South-west facing panoramic views over vineyards and mountains. Sun loungers, table, parasol, BBQ etc. 
Swimming Pool - Full shared use with owners of 11m x 6m kidney shaped pool. 
Electric heating - All rooms. 
Car Parking - Inside electric gates. 
 
THE VILLAGE 
A Place In The Vines is located an easy 5 minute walk from the centre of the historic village of MONTPEYROUX. 
Overlooked by the floodlit ruins of Le Castellas, Montpeyroux has a baker, butcher, hairdresser, tabac, post office, bar and bistro. 
There is a village market on Thursday and Sunday mornings. 
In addition there is a Wine Co-operative and over a dozen independent wine growers producing seriously good wines. 
Only a few minutes drive away there is the Herault Gorge - with a small beach for swimmers, Grotte de Clamouse, and the World Heritage site of St Guilhem le Desert. 
 
THE REGION 
Montpeyroux is located at the foot of the Masif Central in the Herault, in a region that is rich in history, culture and magnificent scenery. 
The historic and vibrant regional capital city of MONTPELLIER, with its fine contrast of classic and ultra modern architecture, theatres and museums is an easy 35 minute drive away. 
The Mediterranean Sea can be reached in only 40 minutes. Here you can find restaurants along miles of sandy beaches and beside the Etang du THau that specialise in freshly-caught sea food dishes. 
The region is a paradise for artists and ramblers with numerous easy/hard short/long rambles. 
At A Place In The Vines you can choose whether to relax on the patio, in the pool or discover one of France's best kept secrets ... the beauty of the Languedoc. 
 
GETTING HERE 
By Air - Montpellier (0:45), Beziers (0:45), Nimes (1:15), Carcassonne (1:30), Perpignan (1:30), Marseille (2:00), Rodez (2:00), Toulouse (2:15).Airlines include BMIBaby, easyJet, FlyBE, Ryanair. 
By Road - About 9 driving hours from Calais, Boulogne, Dieppe, Le Havre, Caen via the spectacular A75 over the Masif Central and Viaduc du Millau. 
By Train - About 7 hours from London to Montpellier, by Eurostar and TGV with an easy platform change at Lille Europe.

    • Skiing - Mont Aigoual / Prat Peyrot is only about 1h45 drive away in the Cevennes. There are a dozen or so pistes and lifts and about 80 snow canons. Surprisingly good - we often go up there for the day.

    RESERVATIONS Please check the latest availability with the Owners who will send a Booking Form for signature. The Reservation will be held for seven days pending receipt of the completed Booking Form, signed acceptance of the Terms & Conditions and payment of the non-refundable Deposit of one-third. BALANCE The Holiday Rent Balance and the Security Bond Deposit is required not later than eight weeks before the Arrival Date. SECURITY BOND A Security Bond Deposit of EUR 200 is required with the Holiday Rent Balance. This will be refunded to the Clients not later than two weeks after the Departure Date, provided that the Gite has been left in a accordance with the Terms & Conditions. PAYMENT Payments can be made in either EUROS or STERLING POUNDS and must be made by Electronic Inter-Bank Transfer to the Owners' Bank Account. TERMS & CONDITIONS Full details of the Terms & Conditions will be sent out with the Booking Form.
