Montpellier / Carnon area
Carnon Port ,is traditional French ,all year round family seaside resort ,pedestrianised, and residential location for young and old, It is well-maintained with fountains and palm trees traditional to the South of France. Carnon is 5 minutes from Montpellier Airport, so ideal for City breaks, and half-term holiday breaks.Beach at Carnon has recently been awarded Blue Flag status.

Well-managed, it is especially buzzy in the summer season, walk 10 minutes to the beach, international kite-surfing school, marina.Carousel goes up in summer as does the entertainment .The tourist office, library, post office,as well as market are all located within easy pedestrian access.

All amenities are within the community, shops, pharmacy, restaurants,supermarket and of course wine cave.
Nearby is a children’s fairground and playground plus newly added ice-skating rink for winter fun..Twice a week market, as well as bakery, and pizzeria, as are the many restaurants.

Bus to Montpellier (The City and festivals,museums,cafes), La Grand Motte and Palavas ( more beaches)-20 minutes. It is also just a pleasure to stroll around the marina and resort , and watch the locals playing boules (practise your French ?) in the afternoons under the pine trees, or free evening concert

Travel Info: Montpellier Mediterranee, is a direct flight from London airports on budget airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet.The apartment is a 5- minute taxi-ride from the airport. Alternatively by train from London St Pancras Eurostar (check to easy-change at Lille for Montpellier), 2.5 hours by TGV from Paris, and 3.5 hours from Barcelona. Sete is nearest Ferry-Port .For travel by car from UK Ports , then major Ferry lines such as Brittany , P&O , and Sea France give alternative travel options to Southwest France. When hiring a car during your stay , best to hire it from the station or airport -saving on taxi fares to and from. Parking is nearby , so please notify us prior to your arrival.

"Moving from Switzerland, we were on a mission to
find an new home in Montpellier so we rented the beautiful,
well equipped and spacious apartment in Carnon.
It was a slightly stressful time so having a base with
incredible views of the harbor and the Mediterranean
