This lovely gite was renovated recently to a genuinely breathtaking quality. It is part of the medieval fortifications of Magalas dating back well over 1000 years. 
 
The kitchen is modern and well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of space for food preparation. Throughout the property you will find a blend of original stone features wooden beams and modern materials. The whole property communicates well with both the kitchen and lounge connecting seamlessly with the outside eating area. There is a dining area in the kitchen and then a seperate lounge area with. 
 
One bedroom has views across the village roof tops and to the mountains of the High Languedoc National Park to the West. Every night you will enjoy the sunset as it glows red and finally sinks behind the hills. The second bedroom has twin beds that combine. The ensuite bathroom (Access from both bedrooms) is modern and light.  
 
Magalas is without a doubt the best village in this region. There is a huge amount going on - not least as a result of the five restaurants including the world famous "O' Bon Temps" which is just 100m away. (Currently three month waiting list so book up in advance of your trip).  
 
The region of the Languedoc is exceptional. For the foodies out there it is a endles discovery of amazing places to eat. For the sporties the rich blend of Med and mountains will give you everything you desire from skiing to diving, sailing, hillwaking, biking, horse-riding....For culture you have a region rich with history dating back to Roman times.

    • This Gite is based in the village of Magalas. Magalas is genuinly on of th most sought after villages in the region. It is one of the famous "circulades" where the medieval village was constructed around the castle and church. The church dates back to the 12 the century. It is stunning and very much a lively focal point to the village.  
     
    Magalas is the centre of all local activities. It has five restaurants, two bars, two supermarkets, a Mr Bricolage, a garden centre and lots of local clubs and "vies associatives". The village there has tremendous views fom different vantage points across the plains to the Med and North to the mountains.  
     
    Great location - just 25mins by car to the beaches AND 20 minutesto the entrance of the Languedoc National Park. There are all activities conceivable; canyoning to site-seeing, sailing on the med to drifting along the canal du midi by barge, diving, horse riding,mountain biking, kite surfing, eating.

    		  Low Season Price: €225 per Week
      High Season Price: €435 per Week
         

    Rates include linen and €40 charges for electricity. This is based on fair and sensible usage policy. It covers all normal usage. We reserve the right to invoice if use is excessive. Condition is that the gite is left in the state it is handed over. We request a security deposit of €200 as a guarantee which is of course returned the day of departure (can be a checque sterling). We can arrange for cleaning should you request at €50. Please be kind enough to be ready to settle in full in cash or eurochecque on arrival
