Nicely renovated character house in wine-making mediaeval town of Magalas which has all facilities. Balcony with view overlooking the lower town and vineyards beyond. Wood burner. Half hour south to beaches and north to National Park of Cevennes. 
 
Sleeps four comfortably in two bedrooms. Garage. Peaceful. 
 
The town is well served with restaurants, (one with free Wi-Fi) bakeries, post office, bank, supermarket and weekly open-air market. You can picnic, swim or canoe nearby on the river Orb, walk in the mountains or relax on the many local beaches, all within 20km. You can sample the famous oysters of Bouzigues or go wine-tasting at any of the local vineyards. Magalas is easily accessible from Beziers, Montpellier, Nimes, Carcassone and Perpignan airports. Or go Eurostar to Beziers then local train or bus to Magalas.

The house also has a large 'cave' or cellar, big enough to park a car.

There are good swimming spots on the river Orb nearby as well as at the many local beaches. Wine tasting is popular in the many 'domaines' of the region. Lac du Salagou has a variety of watersports.  
 
Places of interest are many including Carcassonne, the most spectacular fortified town in Cathar country and St Guilhelm le Désert, the beautiful pilgrim village on the route to Santiago de Compostela, the stunning mediaeval village of Roquebrun on the river Orb, and the spa town of lamalou les Bains. Pézenas has a colourful Saturday market and Béziers has the famous 'Feria' festival of culture and music each August. 
 
The Canal du Midi and the famous lock system at Béziers are worth a visit, as is the cathedral on the hill in Béziers itself.
