This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, renowned for a diversity of outdoor activities. Lake Salagou is 3 km from the villa with a host of water sports. Under an hour away from the villa is the famous Millau Bridge crossing the River Tarn in the foothills of the Massive Central Mountains. The town has an array of cafes, restaurants and local shops, as well as the twice weekly market selling local produce, cheeses and wine. Lodeve is also the cente for the arts, hosting exhibitions and literary events. The poetry festival held every July is well known in the region and the 14 July carnival is a marvellous spectacle.
Lodeve is an historical and cultural town with a cathedral, Bishop's Palace, museum, exhibition centre, medieval bridges and professional craftsmen and artists working in the heart of the town.The surrounding area boasts a great variety of historical towns and buildings .
