Vacation Rental Description
Villa Belvoir, with its own private heated pool and shaded terrace, is situated on the hillside above the ancient, picturesque market town of Lodeve. The villa has panormanic views over chestnut trees to the hills beyond. It is ideally situated to explore the historic and spectacular countryside of the Languedoc. Lodeve is the ideal base to explore the mountains to the north and the Mediterranean beaches to the south
Facilities
The living accommodation comprises of a very large open plan lounge/dining area with a fully fitted, bright spacious kitchen. The two full size setees convert into occassional beds and the modern dining furniture will sit eight people. There are three bedrooms; one double with an en suite with bath, two twin bedrooms and a large family shower room with toilet. The large shaded terrace over-looking the private pool, with Roman steps, is equiped with dining furniture for eight, sun loungers and a gas BBQ. There is ample off road parking.
Activities
This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, renowned for a diversity of outdoor activities. Lake Salagou is 3 km from the villa with a host of water sports. Under an hour away from the villa is the famous Millau Bridge crossing the River Tarn in the foothills of the Massive Central Mountains. The town has an array of cafes, restaurants and local shops, as well as the twice weekly market selling local produce, cheeses and wine. Lodeve is also the cente for the arts, hosting exhibitions and literary events. The poetry festival held every July is well known in the region and the 14 July carnival is a marvellous spectacle.
Lodeve is an historical and cultural town with a cathedral, Bishop's Palace, museum, exhibition centre, medieval bridges and professional craftsmen and artists working in the heart of the town.The surrounding area boasts a great variety of historical towns and buildings .

A returnable security deposit of £250 is required with final payment. An initial deposit of 25% is payable on booking. We are only able to accept cheques. Final payment is due eight weeks before holiday commences.

Mountains to the North Beaches to the South
Lodeve is a typical working hill town and is an ideal location to explore the fantastic Languedoc coast,countryside and historic sites. Outstanding are the many Templar buildings and the medieval parts of Lodeve which are in sharp contrast to the fantastic modern Millau viaduct over the River Tarn.
Villa Belvoir is single storey, has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms is very well equipped with all the things that will make your holiday memorable. 'Wow' factors are the fully fitted kitchen, the 32' lounge/diner and the kidney shaped pool with Roman steps.
The location is semi rural and we look down on the rooftops of the small friendly community we are part of. The villa is very peaceful and not overlooked, the road in front is a dead end, but interesting passers are the occasional pilgrims on the GR7 footpath on their way to Northern Spain.
