Villa Tessa is a new villa on the private residence of Moulin de la Mer, with a shared pool overlooking vineyards and on the edge of the charming village of Portiragnes. Only 2km from beautiful Mediterranean beaches. The Canal du Midi runs along the edge of the village and is ideal for walking or cycling along the shady banks.

The centre of Portiragnes village is a 10 minute walk.In the village you will find 3 bakeries,2 bars,butchers,flower shop,post office,2 hairdressers,tourist office,small supermarket,newsagents and 3 wine cooperatives. There are 3 restaurants and several Pizza takeaways. There are also tennis courts available by the hour and a boulodrome to play petang.

The Canal du Midi goes to Bezier in one direction and Agde in the other. Boats and cycles are available to hire locally. Cycle to Beziers along the towpath over the aqueduct and along to the 9 locks.
On the way to Portiragnes Plage there are riding stables where horses and ponies can be hired.

There are beautiful beaches all along the coast. The beautiful beach at Portiragnes Plage is only 2km away.Here there are numerous good restaurants and bars. Most watersports are available on the beach.
Vias is a busy resort with cafes, bars and Europark funfair.
Cap d'Agde has beaches, a harbour, waterside restaurants, Aqualand waterpark, boat trips and night clubs.

Inland is the beautiful countryside of the Languedoc National Park with excellent walking and hiking trails. Walking books in the villa.

Lac du Salagu is a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains and an ideal place for a picnic. The lake is noted for its windsurfing.

Carcassonne is not to be missed. A medieval walled city with winding narrow streets and many restaurants. Walk around the old city walls with views out to the Pyrenees.

Cirque de Navacelles. A breathtaking drive to where the river has carved 600 meters down through the surrounding plain to the hamlet of Navacelles.

Roquebrun and the Gorge d'Heric. Walking, canoeing, mediterranean gardens.

Bezier airport (ryanair)only 10 minute drive
Perpignan and Carcassonne airports less than an hours drive
Girona and Toulouse airports less than 2 hours drive.

    • Villa Tessa is a well equiped villa in an ideal location.There is a west facing front terrace with table,chairs and parasol and a large built in barbeque.Shared pool(open end May to end September) The ground floor: Kitchen/Living/Dining room is open plan with a well equiped kitchen including washing machine,fridge,freezer,electric hob,microwave combination oven,dining table and chairs,sofa,easy chair,CD & radio,TV with DVD player.Downstairs toilet. Double doors onto terrace. Stairs to first floor: Bedroom 1 with double bed,wardrobe and bedside tables. Bedroom 2 with 2 twin beds and chest of drawers Shower room with wash basin and toilet Door to east facing balcony with small table and chairs.Ideal for breakfast with views over the pool and vineyards towards the sea.     The property will be ready for occupation after 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Minimum rental 1 week. Property must be left clean and tidy. £100 deposit required at the time of booking, balance due 8 weeks before arrival date. Security deposit £150 is required which is refunded in full providing the property is left clean and tidy and there are no breakages. The property is normally available for rent between March and October each year Directions to the property are sent after full payment received.
