3 Bedroom Gite in Uzes

Our ancient mas rests at the foot of Huguenot hilltop village Lussan, close to mediaeval Uzes in the Gard Provencal. Our two gites are a perfect retreat packed with charm and beautifully and completely equipped; you will want for nothing. This is lovely, unspoiled countryside with pure air and golden sun. With our ancient house, lovely grounds, heated pool and warm welcome we assure you of a relaxing and memorable stay.  
 
Our larger gite Le Grenier has two double bedrooms both with bathrooms, a spacious and comfortable living room , a fully equipped kitchen and a mezzanine with an extra sofa bed. The gite has lovely views over the pool and the courtyard. It can sleep 6. 
 
Our smaller gite Le Murier has one lovely bedroom in the ancient silk works. It has an antique brass bed and an en suite double bathroom. The livingroom is large and comfortable with a sofa bed and there is a fully equipped kitchen. It can sleep 4 but is a perfect romantic retreat for 2 
 
We also have a 'chambre d'hote' ( B&B; ) room which can be taken on its own for a minimum of 3 days or with either gite for extra space. 
 
Our gites are equipped to the highest standards. Beds are top quality; towels, bathrobes etc are provided along with top range toileteries. The kitchens have everything you might need. Our prices are completely inclusive. The Gites are comprehiensively equipped:, all linen ; 'starter' pack; books, games etc and a very special 4 course dinner with us and other guests on your first evening. 
 
Outside there are 7 acres of lovely grounds with fish ponds, meadows, orchard , gardens and a large, safely enclosed heated pool. Our grounds are safe and parents are always happy to let their children loose in our meadow perhaps with our 2 dogs. Alternatively, they can help us feed and collect eggs from our flock of rare breed hens. This is a place to relax and feel free. No pressures, just plenty of peace and calm. No TVs, just books and games and toys for our younger guests. 
 
We are in a lovely area with easy access to some fabulous ciites: Nimes, Avignon, Montpelier, Aix, Arles are all an easy drive. Uzes, our local town is a renowned unspoiled mediaeval delight with spectacular markets twice a week. The countryside is fabulous; we are at the foothills of the Cevennes and Ardeche mountains and our roads and tracks are perfect for hiking or cycling. We offer free loan of bikes to our guests. There are 3 rivers nearby with wonderful canoeing between Easter and October. A canoe trip under the Pont du Gard is a must!. 
 

The Gites are fully equipped with a full kitchen with everything you might need. A dining area and a living room with plenty of comfortable seating, We do not provide TVs or phones but there are games, books, toys and this wonderful area to keep your family busy. Beds are queens or singles of the best quality we could find. They have soft matress toppers and fine linen, The bath rooms have cotton towels, bathrobes and a range of top quality local toileteries. Each gite has a private terrace and a spacious shared terrace o with a large dining table for each gite. There are barbeque areas, hammocks, shady sitting areas Outside there are 7 acres of safe gardens and an 11 m heated pool. We have family friendly dogs, cats and a couple of dozen rare breed hens We provide a range of organic produce from our own gardens and hens. We bake croissants and bread every morning, delivered to your door!

Fabulous walks and bike rides from our door. Canoeing 30 minutes away. There are bikes you can borrow. 
 
Lovely riverside beaches a few minutes away, the sea and the Camargue is an hour and a bit by car. 
 
Cookery courses for adults and children and wine tours can be arranged

• Travel Info: This is very easy to get to. The airports at Avignon, Nimes, Montpellier and Marseille are all within 90 minutes and the TGV/Eurostar stations at Avignon and Nimes are 45 minutes away. We are just under 1000 km from calais, about a 10 hour drive. This is a very rural place, you will need a car.
