Private home surrounded by 27,000 sq feet of landscaped garden with a variety of vegetation (pine trees, oak trees, bamboo, boxwood, banana trees, and palm trees) as well as three connecting water ponds containing a large collection of Japanese Koi fish and multi-coloured water lilies. Private 28,87x14,76 ft pool. House sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. The village centre is about a 10 min walk where you can find a small grocery shop, post office, druggist, 2 bakeries, restaurants, as well as the local and international press. There are many nearby sports activities such as golf, sailing, kayak/canoe, horseback riding, swimming and hiking. Cultural activities: Museums, summer festivals, Roman monuments and ruins and traditional village bull runs to name a few. The beaches are 20 mins by car. Ryan Air and/or EasyJet fly to Montpellier and Nimes (about 20 min drive). Paris is a 3 hr TGV train ride from Nimes. The French Riviera (Cannes, Nice, Monaco) and Barcelona (Spain) are both 3 hrs by car.

    • Hoover, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, mops and brooms Large open living room with floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the garden. Leather armchairs and poufs, sunken Japanese style dining table looks out onto garden and upper-level pond. Patio area contains very large table where meals can be taken,folding chairs are available. Barbecue on hand. Each bedroom is equipped with a portable rotating timer controlled fan for the warmer evenings. Bed linens, kitchen, bath and pool towels are provided. Property is cleaned before each tenancy. Bed linens and towels changed once. Housecleaning and pool/garden maintenance is included in the rental price. Our stereo system is an indoor and/or outdoor system, it is hooked up to the TV system, dvd player and is i-pod compatible. Don't forget to bring your i-pod(s) Due to the water ponds in our garden we prefer families with children over the age of 6.

    • Our home is located on the outskirts of the village centre (10 min walk). The medieval town of Sommieres (12 km) and it's famous Saturday morning market. Calvisson (5 km) and it's "Roc de Gachonne" a hill with a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding plains and its Sunday morning market. Uzes (37 km) is a beautiful city, originated around the time of the construction of the “Pont du Gard”, the tallest Roman aqueduct (3 levels)! Arles (40 km), Avignon: the Papal city (34 km). L’isle sur la Sorgue which is the place for antique lovers! The 2 major nearby cities are Nimes and Montpellier, both about 25 km away. Nimes is know for its Roman influence (amphitheatre, La maison carree, La tour magne). Montpellier, 8th city of France (population-wise), is a very dynamic and “modern” Mediterranean city and only 10 km away from the sea!The French Riviera is a 3hr car drive (Nice, Cannes...) as is Spain and its vibrant city Barcelona.

    		  Low Season Price: €2,500 per Week
      High Season Price: €2,500 per Week
         

    We rent out only in the summer months of July and August. A down payment of 50% of the total amount of rental will be paid by either bank transfer or Euro cheque upon signature of rental contract. In the case of cancellation of more than 60 days before the start of rental, the down payment will be returned minus an indemnity equal to 50% of down payment. Total sum of rental is due in case of cancellation less than 60 days before the start of rental. A security deposit cheque of 2500 euros will be asked for upon arrival. The cheque will not be cashed and will be returned no later than 10 days after your departure provided there are no damages to property. Visitor's taxes are included in the rental price. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
