Vacation Rental Description
'Maison Pommiers' is a beautiful 5-bedroomed villa in a gorgeous location just south of the 'Cevennes' National Park, in the Gard area of the South of France. The villa has almost two acres of gardens, on a gently sloping site, including a field for children to kick a ball around, and its own shallow stream which glides by amongst the trees at the south-western boundary of the land.
For everyone to enjoy, there is a 9x5 metre azure-blue pool heated by Solar collection panels, and plenty of shade to hang the hammock, with a host of fruit trees from which the house draws its name.
The area is famed for growing lavender, and 'Maison Pommiers' is no exception, with a long bank of aromatic lavender just below the house, and there are views of the 'Cevennes' hills which form part of the huge National Park.
The villa has large rooms, and is not overlooked, giving a peaceful and private place to relax in the sun and enjoy a glass of wine by the pool.
Unusually the villa has its own full-size 'Boules' pitch built to competition standards, and a set of boules is provided. There is a table tennis table and various other games and pool equipment.
Facilities
Hammocks and outdoor furniture and loungers are provided as is the BBQ and logs for winter fires. The house has its own 'Boules' pitch with the equipment provided. Top quality High chair and Cot are provided, complete with 'Bassinette' for tiny babies, and a baby changing facility is provided both on the cot and in the downstairs bathroom.

- Nearest Airport : Nimes (Garons) at 50 kilometers distance;
- Nearest Train Station : Nimes at 45 kilometers distance
- Nearest Town : Anduze at 5 kilometers distance
- Travel Info: Ryanair fly daily into Nimes Garons, other airlines fly to Montpellier which adds about 15 mins to the journey time to the villa. You need to have a car available to you and a SatNav is a bonus.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. 20% discount for 2nd week if booked together. £100 cash (125 euros) refundable loss/damage deposit must be paid to the Caretaker on arrival. This will be returned within 7 days of the completion of your stay after inspection and return of the keys. There is no charge for linen/towels or cleaning provided you leave everything as you found it. Fresh linen and towels are provided for new guests. Payments can be made directly to our bank in GB pounds or to our bank in France in Euros. Or by cheque in GB pounds or euros. Guests are advised to take out cancellation insurance, as refunds can only be given if the villa is re-let at the same rate.

Owners Profile
Peace & quiet in the sunniest part of France with a solar heated pool and plenty of shade.
We fell in love with 'Maison Pommiers' the moment we saw it.
We were looking for a holiday villa where we could guarantee the weather (officially 300 days of sunshine a year) but with some greenery as we dislike the rocky dustbowls that you find elsewhere.
The Cevennes National Park can be seen from the garden, and as we hail from the Yorkshire Dales we feel really at home here.
Having said that, we try to maintain the 'French' feel of the villa, and we are only 5 minutes from Anduze where the street cafe culture survives, and we are not far from the Roman archaeology in Nimes, Avignon, and the Pont du Gard.
For the younger members of our family there is plenty to do from canoeing on the 'Gardon' and the 'Ceve' walking in the mountains, and exploring the towns.
We simply enjoy the shady hammocks, a good book, and a glass of the exceptional, (& cheap) local wines, and a dip in our heated pool, which is not overlooked ( a bonus when you have my figure )
