The house is situated in the Gard and is next to the Camargue Regional Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site famous for its unique ecological balance. The park is home to wild white horses, herds of black bulls and over 400 species of birds including pink Flamingoes. A significant feature of the area is the ‘Gardianes’, the last true cowboys who herd the black bulls on horseback. The park has many stables offering horse rides into the lagoons, vineyards and marshes.

Aigues-Mortes
A short walk from the house is the medieval walled town of Aigues-Mortes. Built in the 13th Century by King Louis IX from which to launch his crusade, the town has changed little. Bristling with restaurants and bars, art galleries and shops, the town provides something for everyone, especially during their festival season when wild bulls run through the streets and the town reverts to its medieval roots.
Grau du Roi
At the mouth of the Canal de Sete about an 8 minute drive from the house is the fishing port of Grau du Roi famous for its fish restaurants and adjacent to this is L’Espiguette beach, several kilometers of golden sand dunes and shallow bathing. Many other beaches line the coast providing a different one for every day of your stay.
