Vacation Rental Description
This spacious detached 1960s house in one of the warmest regions of France offers generous accommodation within walking distance of all the facilities of a market town. Its owners have renovated the house to a very high standard, maintaining a retro, Sixties feel but also offering a perfect blend of luxury with family friendliness.  
 
Downstairs…is a new state of the art kitchen, with a large range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, American fridge-freezer with chilled water and ice machine, pull out spray tap and retro coffee machine; an open plan dining area and lounge with an original fireplace and wood-burner; a spacious conservatory offering a second space for family meals; a large second sitting room with flatscreen television, double sofas and beanbags, desk, books, DVDs and toys all available for use; a laundry room with washer and drier; and a downstairs toilet. 
 
Upstairs 
 
…is a large master bedroom with its own en suite (with bath and walk-in power shower with the famous Hans Grohe Raindance shower) and small walk-in wardrobe, a double bed, TV and sofa; a bunk-bed room, suitable for two adults or children; two double bedrooms (one with a king size bed that can separate into twin beds) with their own en suite shower rooms, again with power showers; a funky, original Sixties family bathroom; and a separate toilet.  
 
All bedrooms except the bunk bed room have French windows with shutters, offering views of the surrounding Pyrenees mountains and access onto a safely railed balcony. The master bedroom and bunk bed room can be closed off as a different upstairs unit, allowing separate families an element of privacy if they are renting together.  
 
Outside 
 
…is a large family garden of approximately a third of an acre, mainly lawned ideal for outdoor play, with fruit trees and views of the surrounding mountains. There are swings for children to play on and a range of outdoor toys. We have a generously sized private alarmed swimming pool (11m x 5m) with Roman end steps, with a very shallow end appropriate for toddlers, as well as a deeper end for adults and older children. The water is treated with a salt filtration system, rather than chlorine. Beside the pool is a sun terrace with loungers. A large gas barbecue is available from July 2009.
