Les Eaux Tranquilles sits in 2 acres of private park at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains and is located between the hamlets of Belvianes and Cavirac just 4km south of Quillan on the banks of the river Aude.

Established since 2001 Les Eaux Tranquilles Chambres D'hôtes (B&B, Bed and Breakfast, Inn) is centrally located within the heart of the Cathar Country in Aude part of the Languedoc region of SW France.

Les Eaux Tranquilles is centrally located for both Perpignan and Carcassonne international airports both within 50 minutes drive. We are also approximately 1hr 40 minutes from Toulouse and 2 hours from Gerona in Spain. With a choice of four airports we are well placed to accept guests from all over Europe and beyond.

All our rooms are individually styled offering a high level of comfort and design to make your stay with us feel like a home from home. What you see is what you get or as several guests have commented "your rooms are exactly the same as the photo's".

During the summer months breakfast and evening meals are served on our large terrace with excellent views of the Pierre-Lys gorge and the peaks of the Pyrenees mountains.

Ideally located for touring the Cathar country with it’s Cathar Castles and Chateau's, ancient gorges (our nearest, Pierre-Lys, is just two minutes away), 16th century villages, vineyards and more yet within easy reach of the coast (Narbonne and Perpignan) and ski resorts Font-Romeu (50min), Mijanes (27min), Les Angles (37min), Puyvalador (31min)) make this an ideal all year retreat.

This particular area is renowned for its water activities such as white water rafting, kayaking, canoeing, canyoning and hydrospeed as well as walking, cycling, hiking, horse riding, quad bikes, fishing and of course sight seeing.

We have two double bedded rooms, two king size rooms (Fontainebleau can be converted to a twin) all of which benefit from en-suite private bathrooms. All our rooms have central heating for winter guests, fly screens and their own hot water system.

The property benefits from secure parking in the grounds, there is also garage space available for motorcycles, bikes etc.

A large shaded terrace area is available for breakfasts and evening meals. There is also a barbeque available for our guests use (a small fee is charged for gas) and a fridge-freezer is available for food storage (free of charge). A swimming pool, tables, chairs and sun beds can be found in the grounds during the summer.

All our bedrooms are en-suite and decorated to a high standard and fitted with high quality furnishings which help give them a warm welcoming feel. Each bedroom has tea and coffee making facilities (except Aude) and hairdryer. Sheets and towels are changed every 4th day and the bedrooms are cleaned every day. Our bedding is created from anti-allergenic material and filling.

We do not permit smoking in the bedrooms.

We only accept children of 14 years and over.

We provide picnic hampers free of charge. You can consume your own food and beverages within the grounds. We also have a BBQ available for hire. Tables d'hotes, that's evening meal with the owners is available at a cost of 20 Euros per person (4 courses and wine) on a ad hoc basis, simply tell us at breakfast. If you want a meal on arrival please let us know when enquiring. We also offer discounts for 7 nights or more and discounts fro 3 nights or more demi-pension (half board), again please ask when enquiring.

Sport.
It's difficult to know where to begin because if you can name it then its here but here goes, Gliding, Parascending, Paragliding, Walking, Climbing, Caving, Road Cycling, Mountain Biking (we have a few bikes for guests to borrow), Quad Biking, Sailing, Sail Boarding, Wind Surfing, Canoeing, Canyoning, White Water Rafting, Horse Riding to name but a few.

Walking.
We are located in one of the finest walking areas in France with thousands of kilometres of documented walks catering for all level of walkers young and old alike. We have several walking books and maps available plus walking cards in a handy format which contain a map, points to look at, historical information along with an indication of level of difficulty and duration. We also have a English speaking guide whom we can contact on your behalf should you require one.

We also have a weekly market and an annual folk festival and village fete,

• Nearest Town : Quillan at 4 kilometers distance
• Travel Info: We are located halfway between Carcassonne and Perpignan airports both are within under an hours travel. For international quests we are also located halfway between Toulouse and Girona(ES) airports both of which are under two hours away. Toulouse and Perpignan are served by TGV trains. Whilst there is a railway station at nearby Quillan a car is essential for this part of the world.
