Vacation Rental Description
La Maison Verte is built on the ancient ramparts of the village. It has metre thick stone walls and a curving staircase. It has been carefully restored to retain the atmosphere of a Southern French villageand it is decorated with treasures found in local markets and homes. There are pictures and photographs, fabrics and furniture which reflect the traditions of local people.
The two main bedrooms are of an equal size and distinction whick makes sharing with another couple ideal. They each have a double bed in them. The third, delightful bedroom has two single beds in it.
There are two sittingrooms leading out onto a wistaria covered terrace which is just wonderful for late evening aperitifs. The dining room has a gorgeous old farm table. The kitchen is well equipped to make the best use of the marvellous French food found in the markets.
There are two bathrooms; one with a shower in it and the other with a roll-topped bath.
There is a stone walled, private garden with a table and chairs under a shady, vine-covered pergola. The view stretches over the wonderful French kitchen gardens towards the Pyrenees in the distance.
