This beautiful villa is situated on its own secluded grounds in a breath-taking setting, minutes walk from the Canal du Midi. The house which has recently been newly furnished, and comprises 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The main bedroom has a double bed which can be separated into 2 single beds if required. The other 2 bedrooms have 2 single beds each and all 3 bedrooms have ample wardrobe space and bedside lockers and lamps. The bathroom has separate bath and shower and 2 wash hand basins. Separate WC. The living and dining areas are spacious and the house is tiled throughout which gives it a bright and cool feel. The property is secure and provides complete privacy.

As well as a sizeable garden and covered car port on a ½ acre site, there are two terraces which provide sunshine and shade all day long and a private swimming pool. There is a safety cover on the pool which complies with French safety regulations. The front terrace has a substantial barbeque. The property is located in a small village called Herminis on the outskirts of Carcassonne (6km). There are 2 major shopping centres within 5 minutes drive from the house.

Carcassonne, which is in the Aude department of the Languedoc region, is on Le Canal Du Midi with the Pyrenees to the South and the Black Mountains to the North. It is famous for its walled castle from the 13th century which is a World Heritage Site. The fairy tale spires and warren of narrow cobbled streets provides a flavour of life in a time gone by. The town of Carcassonne is a vibrant centre of activity, with shops, bars, cafes and restaurants dotted around bustling narrow streets. At its heart is the Place Carnot which, as well as accommodating the local market provides an ideal location to relax in the many cafes and restaurants and soak up the atmosphere of life in the South of France.

The nearest beach is Narbonne which is 45km away. However there is a lake beach in the Black Mountains 10km away. The Canal du Midi passes 5 minutes walk from the house which is ideal for exploring either on foot or on bicycle. With the Pyrenees to the South and the Black Mountains to the North, it is a hill walkers paradise.

To reserve the villa a 20% non-refundable deposit is required to be paid by way of bank transfer, the details of which will be provided on receipt of an email request to rent the villa. Receipt of the 20% non refundable deposit in our bank account automatically reserves the villa. The balance of the rent due, plus a €200 breakage deposit must be transferred 30 days before commencement of the rental period. Following receipt of the balance plus breakage deposit, full details of the location of the villa will be provided, together with the contact details of our agent who will be at the house to meet and greet. Following a successfull examination of the property by our agent, the breakage deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure. To facilitate credit cards payment will also be accepted through PayPal.
