4 Bedroom Self Catering Villa in Carcassonne

In the village of Campagnan, close to Montpellier, Pezenas and The Mediterranean, Villa Haute offers an excellent standard of accommodation in an ideal relaxing rural situation, perfect for a family holiday. The villa will suit large families or families holidaying together. 
 
The Accommodation 
The entrance hall leads into a large sitting room with delightful views over the gardens. The sitting room is air-conditioned and has television and DVD player. A separate dining area with dining table and chairs leads to the kitchen with large oven, gas hob, washing machine, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave.  
1st Double bedroom with wardrobes and door to the covered terrace. 2nd Double bedroom with wardrobes door to the covered terrace and en-suite bathroom with basin, toilet, bath and shower attachment. Separate bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.  
From the covered terrace there is a door to the twin bedroom with wardrobe, and a further double bedroom with wardrobe and bedside cabinet. There is also a shower room with wash hand basin and toilet.  
 
The gardens are of a substantial size and mainly laid to lawn. There is a large area ideal for children to play. The swimming pool is 9 metres by 5 metres and has a depth of between 1.1 and 1.4 metres. The swimming pool is fenced and also has a pool alarm for added child safety. There is a shaded terrace attached to the house which is ideal for ‘al fresco’ dining and has very nice views of the surrounding country-side, a large barbeque is also provided. 
 
The village of St Pargoire is close by (2 kms), this has a host of shops including a small supermarket, a friendly bar, two restaurants, a post office, a chemist and two really good bakers. The towns of Clermont l’herault and Pezenas are both about 20 minutes drive and have good street markets and large shopping areas. The city of Montpellier and the beaches of The Mediterranean can be reached in about 40 minutes.  
 
 
Just 20 minutes drive away is Pezenas a very pretty medieval town with an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants. The centre is full of buildings dating back to the 16th & 17th centuries. There is also an excellent market on Saturday which provides an ideal opportunity to stock up on the wonderful regional delicacies, fresh salads and vegetables, meats, cheeses, seafood and of course the local wine. Take a stroll through the old town with its unique craft and clothes shops and finally stop at one (or two) of the many bars or bistros in the 'Place de 14th Juillet'. 
You are perfectly placed for the Mediterranean; the nearest beaches can be reached in just 20 minutes. Close by is the holiday resort of Cap d'Agde. It has some 14 kilometres of fine beaches and many attractions for the children like 'Toonland' and the famous 'Aqualand' with its giant flumes, water slides and wave machine as well as a super 'tots area' for the very young.  
As well as beaches, there are beautiful lakes, mountains and gorges within one hours drive. The area has large numbers of medieval towns and villages to visit including Pezenas, St Guilhem-le-Desert and the Cite of Carcassonne. Just over hours drive will take you to the heart of 'Cathar' country with its imposing castles and monastries such as Montsegur and Queribus.  
 

Villa Haute is close to The Herault Gorge a fantastic venue for canoing and kayaking. It really is a wonderful day out for the whole family (children over 6 years old). You are transported up the gorge to the kayaks and then spend a tranquile 3-4 hours drifting down The Herault river through magnificent scenery. Stop off and enjoy a picnic, swim off of the rocks or do a spot of fishing. You finish back at your car for the short but beautifl drive back to the villa. 
There is a tennis court close by and several golf courses within easy driving distance. For those of a more 'laid back' disposition there are great beaches close by. The nearest is a Meze only 20 minutes from Villa Haute. Not only does Meze have a great beach but also a beautiful harbour surrounded by good seafood restaurants, all of which are child friendly.
