Vacation Rental Description
A 19th century 'masters house' set on the edge of a quaint 'circulade' only 20 k from Carcassonne. Enclosed gardens with salt filtration pool. Very stylish and comfortable accommodation furnished with French and English antiques . Many original fittings abound including the original tiled floors and grand limestone staircase that rises through the centre of the house. 
All rooms are very spacious and each have two double windows looking out towards the Pyranees or over the gardens. Chateau Lasserre sits alongside the barn belonging to the local winemaker with lovely walks on the doorstep. This is authentic and unspoiled rural France. 
The kitchen has a 4 oven Aga together with a gas stove for summer months and a massive dresser, well stocked with wines of the area. The kitchen table seats twelve and the main dining table seats 15. There is a very comfortable slaon with comfy sofas, satellie Tv and stereo and Godin wodd-burning stove for winter months. 
The 'state' bedrooms are on the first floor with the Masters bedroom having a boudoir and en suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms on this floor share a large family bathroom. The upper floor has two doubles and a playroom, together with showeroom and is ideal for younger guests. Accommodataion is very flexible with both Kind, double and single beds which can be arranged to suit.

    Castelnaudary the home of cassoulet is 15 minutes away and has many fine restaurants. Local markets abound.
