We offer the choice of 2 fully equipped cottages. The property is right alongside the Canal du Midi and approx 15 minutes away from Carcassonne and it's splendid Medieval Old Cite. There is a large outdoor HEATED POOL (approx 10m x 5m)with ample sunbathing space on the decking and tiled surround. The pool area is elevated to take advantage of the views over the vineyards towards the mountains. Large 2 acre garden and off road parking. Each cottage has it's own patio area with large brick BBQ. Outdoor table & chairs and sunloungers.

Each cottage has a double and a twin bedroom. Travel Cot if requested. Also upstairs there is a shower room and washbasin. Downstairs, a fully equiped kitchenette with DISHWASHER, cooker, fridge / freezer, coffee maker, microwave, kettle. toaster etc. In the utility area next to the toilet we also have a WASHING MACHINE, iron and ironing board. Sofa, Armchairs and TV / DVD + HiFi/CD player. WiFi included. iPod / iPhone docking station.

Each cottage has loads of local information in the cupboards to help you choose your activities. Each cottage has very efficient electric wall heaters in all the main rooms.
The friendly British owners live on site and will respect your privacy but are there if you need any help or advice.

If you want a holiday location that's ideally placed to visit all the historical and beautiful sites for the Languedoc region then come and stay here. There are the Cathar Chateaux, Canal du Midi, Carcassonne, Canoeing and Kayaking in the next village. Fishing nearby in the river and the canal. The Mediteranean Sea is only 40 minutes away. Large towns like Toulouse, Montpellier & Beziers are a short drive away. Don't forget it's only just over an hour to the Spanish border to go for a Tapas. Barcelona is approx. just under 3 hours drive away.

Vist the many French market to buy your local and season produce. Carcassonne has a great market in the town every Saturday. Every day there is a market in a different town / village. Some of the better ones are; Mirepoix, Lezignan Corbieres, Limoux, Revel and ofcourse Carcassonne. When you're all shopped out, sit in one of the street cafes and have an expresso whilst watching the world go by

Canal View Cottage * Olive Tree Cottage both sleep 4 (+ option of a cot if required)in a double and twin bedroom . Canal View Cottage overlooks the Canal du Midi and the canal lock at Marseillette. Views over the vines and towards the Mountains in the distance. It's own patio area with large brick BBQ and garden that overlook the canal. Flat screen TV with 18 channels. DVD player. HiFi /radio. WiFi included. iPod / iPhone docking stations Olive Tree Cottage faces south overlooking the garden towards the pool with large outdoor area & BBQ. Outdoor Table Tennis LARGE HEATED POOL ( 10 metres x 5 metres) surrounded by decking and tiled area. This is in an elevated position to take advantage of the views towards the mountains. Off road parking.

Due to our excellent location we are able to offer plenty of sports close by. We are surrounded by the Canal du Midi and plenty of country walks / cycle routes along lanes or throught the vineyards / tow paths. The river is only 500 metres away for fishing as well as the Canal next door. Carcassonne has it's own lake with beaches, pedalos, walking etc. There is also an activity park there for adults and children allowing you to walk throught the tree tops on ropes alongside the lake. Are you brave enough to take the trip wire across the lake? Several other lakes nearby for water sports.
The mediteranean sea and beaches are approx 45 minutes away.
Safari Park at Sigean is 30 minutes away.
Australian Park in Carcassonne near the lake is only 15 minutes away
Flamingos are wild in the salt lakes next to the sea.
