Montsegur has a cheerful living room and a bright, well equipped kitchen/dining room.

There are 3 bedrooms, each with panoramic views, on the first floor.
There is a modern bath/shower and wc room upstairs, and a second wc and shower room downstairs.

The large south facing terrace and extensive gardens provide a marvellous setting for leisurely breakfasts, and evening meals or BBQs.

A variety of trees in the garden provide welcome shade in the summer months.

    • In addition to the excellent self-catering facilities provided within the cottage, immediately outside you have a terrace with table and chairs from which you look onto the large garden. There is also a separate barbecue area, and plenty of space to relax in the garden. We have bikes (adult-sized) which you can borrow to explore the local area.

    • This is a perfect area for walking or cycling.
    The nearby village of Montréal (5 mins) has a tennis court and a swimming pool for summer use.
    Local shops, cafés and restaurants are available in Montréal (5 mins drive), and slightly further away in Fanjeaux or Bram.
    There is a choice of picturesque market towns (Limoux, Castelnaudary and Mirepoix) 20 mins away which have plenty of cafés and restaurants. Limoux also offers kayaking on the river Aude.
    The medieval town of Carcassonne, (25 mins), is an interesting, bustling place to visit, with many shops, bars and restaurants, and a well-recommended golf course.
    It is within 1 hour of both the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees.

    Charges quoted include all costs for heating, electricity, etc Booking dates are flexible except for July and August when we normally stick to a changeover day of Saturday. We ask for a deposit of 25% as you book, and the balance 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. We accept payment by bank transfer or cheque. All payment details are contained in our booking contract.
