Vacation Rental Description
The house comprises four bedrooms, two bathrooms/WC and downstairs WC, lounge with french windows leading onto sun terrace, and kitchen, again with french windows, opening onto a leafy courtyard. All the rooms are airy, light and spacious with high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and wooden floors.  
The large walled garden, which gets the sun all day long, has been planted with flowers and shrubs and contains the 12m x 5m private pool and pool awning. One courtyard has a table and umbrella for eating outdoors (barbecue provided) and there is a long table under the large shady pool awning. There are sun loungers on the pool terrace. The pool depth starts at just under 1m for the first few metres making it ideal for children to play in and then gradates to nearly 2m at the deep end.  
The house is laid out so that two families can live more indepenently of each other on separate floors. All bedrooms are large with king-size double beds in the master bedrooms, and singles and bunks and a cot in the other rooms. There is a T.V. with both English (including CBBC!) and French channels, DVD and video recorder in the lounge as well as an Ipod docking station, and a wood-burning stove for use during winter lets. The stainless steel fitted kitchen includes: washing machine, dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven and microwave, and has a large dining table which seats ten plus a high chair. Both bathrooms have bath, shower and WC with a third guest WC on the ground floor.The house comfortably sleeps ten plus cot bed. Both change of bed linen, towels and cleaning services are provided on request. A cot and high chair are provided. Private gated parking is available.

    • Situated between Lagrasse and Narbonne,15 minutes south of the A61 motorway, the house is a 30 minutes from superb sandy Mediterranean beaches.The village, tucked away in the Corbieres hills, is a perfect holiday retreat, popular with cyclists and ramblers.Local places of interest include the medieval village of Lagrasse with its cobbled streets, restaurants, artisans,Dominican abbey,and summer festivals; also the abbey at Fontfroide with its rose gardens, or the Cathar chateaux at Peyrepertuse and Queribus with views all over the Pyrenees. Homps and Bize Minervois,also not far, are very pretty villlages as is Le Somail with its canal walks. Minervois is a fantastic walled medieval Cathar village.Carcassonne with its fairy-tale castle; high rope adventure climbing at Lac de Cavayere;the Spanish border is a hour away. Tennis,fishing and horse riding are available locally.Ski resorts,for winter lets,are an hour and a half's drive away.
