The spacious apartment is on the second (top) floor of the east wing of this tastefully restored historic residence. It overlooks a lovely 6000 sqm park (small co-ownership) with pool, BBQ and stream. There is a courtyard for private parking. A large wooden door leads from the main street medieval village of Chalabre with its shops, bars and hotel-restaurant directly to peaceful surroundings of the residence and its park. Chalabre is 40 minutes from Carcassonne and A61 motorway, 15 minutes from the market town of medieval Mirepoix and 5 minutes from a large lake, "Lac de Montbel". The Pyrenees and famous Cathar castles are only a short drive away.
This area is extremely suited for walking, cycling and watersports.
