Studio apartment nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees - on the banks of the river Tech. Stunning views from the balconies. Amelie Les Bains provides everything for the perfect holiday: golfing, swimming, mountain biking, walking and horse riding. Great food and wine, daily market in town square, spas, shops and restaurants all on the doorstep. Boasting over 320 days of sunshine each year creates fantastic light for artists and photographers. Historic cities, artistic towns, festivals, fireworks and fetes will add to your holiday enjoyment. There is also a superb local tourist office.
Notes on accommodation:
Although virtually in the centre of town, both apartments are quiet and have spectacular mountain views. Heating is provided in both lounge and bathroom. Although linen is not provided, duvets, pillows blankets etc are. Possibility of arranging a linen service through our local agent.
Coast/Beach
Many superb mediterranean beaches are approximately 30-40 minutes drive. Our favourite is Collioure (see pictures-where we go for Sunday lunch). Others are Argeles Sur Mer, Saint Cyprien, Cannes Plage and Port Vendres, and many more.
Golf
The town has a nine-hole golf course. Other very good golfing facilities are nearby.
Skiing
Nearest skiing in Andorra or Spain. Approximately 90 minutes drive.
Distances:
All the facilities of the town are on the doorstep. The medieval town of Palada a short walk across the River Tech, which runs through Amelie. The town of Ceret is five minutes drive away and has a must see Saturday morning market, with live music, and a renowned Museum of Modern Art. The city of Perpignan is only half an hour by car or by bus.

Shops and banks to cater for all requirements are available in Amelie Les Bains. Check out the internet for local festivals and fetes which take place in Amelie Les Bains and adjacent towns. Eg Carnival in Amelie in February, Bastille Day celebrations in July, international Folklore festival in August, Xmas Festival in Palalda in December, Medieval Festival in Arles Sur Tech in August.

The apartments has a balcony, and it is a short walk to the river where benches, picnic tables and children's playground are situated. There is superb local outdoor pool, also within easy walking distance. Within 2 minutes you can be walking in the beautiful mountains which surround the town.
