Yet you can hear the birds in the trees and sleep with the windows open. Metro stations: Poissonnière, Gare du Nord, Barbès-Rochechouart, and several bus lines (26, 42, 43, 48, 30, 31, 54, 56). Solid, 19th century stone building (keeps the heat out in summer) surrounded by quiet courtyards, no windows giving onto street, but plenty of sunlight. Parisian charm, herringbone oak floors, moulded high cielings, plants. Fourth-floor walk up (no elevator), friendly neighbours, family-friendly building. One bedroom with double bed, two bedrooms with single beds, one living room with large sofa bed (full double bed). Small kitchen, small bathroom with full-size bathtub/shower, small separate toilet. Equipped kitchen: Stove/oven, mw oven, double sink, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, large fridge/freezer. Stereo, HDTV, DVD, free wifi access.
