YOUR APARTMENT 
Two room 500 sq. feet apartment, fireplace in living room. 17th century building. Very comfortable for two : 1 Double Bed. Also accommodation for 3rd person in living room – single fold-away bed. 
 
A splendid 2 room apartment (50 m²) with a bright and uncluttered view over the centuries-old and historic Les Halles area. 
 
A large living room with an open-kitchen incorporates every modern convenience (micro-wave and regular oven, ceramic hotplates, smoke-extractor, dishwasher etc.). 
 
Modern, elegant cupboards conceal an extra-comfortable, regular single bed which folds away when not in use. 
 
In the bedroom itself, there is a double bed and a custom-built wardrobe fitted into the wall (with a private safety box). A sumptuous bathroom is just opposite and there is a washer and combined dryer. 
 
There are old, original wooden-beamed ceilings in every room. 
 
The building is nearly 3 centuries old and has great character. There is no elevator, so there's a 3 flight walk-up. But the climb is worth it! 
 
NB:7 nights minimum stay necessary 
 
EXTRAS: Modern stereo system (CD and cassette player included), video player, satellite TV. High speed internet access (ethernet and wi-fi). The granite-surrounded fireplace burns logs, seductively supplementing the adequate electric heating. 
 
YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD: This apartment is situated on a pedestrian street, surrounded by many charming cafés and restaurants. A few minutes walk away is the well-known market street - the Rue Montorgeuil - a living remnant of the old Halles. 
 
The (Les Halles) area is part of an historic 50 acres, which has been made strictly pedestrianised. Many of the streets have been narrowed, paved with mosaic marble tiles and the pavements and sidewalks have been broadened to accommodate the outdoor cafés and produce shops that spill out on to the sidewalks. Electronically controlled bollards have been installed to inhibit traffic entering the area, unless for deliveries and emergencies. This is the area of the former great Les Halles marketplace (the belly of Paris), which has now become the Forum des Halles (a 4 level deep shopping mall with a vast underground Metro and RER express train system beneath that). 
 
Outside, it is surrounded by the Jardin des Halles - lots of quiet spaces, lawns, trees and plants. A few streets northeast is the renovated Pompidou Arts Center. The Louvre and Notre Dame are perfect short walks away. 
 
METRO STATIONS: Etienne Marcel, Châtelet Les Halles (Bastille is 3 stops away on Line N° 1) 
RER: Chatelet-Les Halles 
 
BUSES: 29 (direct routes to Opera Bastille and Opera Garnier), 38, 47, 67, 74, 85

Thereafter, the deposit is subject to forfeit unless a replacement reservation can be found. Balance of payment is due only at the end of the rental period.
