We stayed in this lovely apartment during a very cold December 2010. The apartment was quiet, warm , cosy yet spacious as well. Furnishings were very tasteful. All the mod cons we needed were there and more besides, even a piano. The location exceeded our expectations with lovely cafes, bakers, butchers and fruit and veg shops just round the corner.
We walked to most places from the apartment (20 minutes to Notre Dame, 30-40 to the Louvre) and it was a wonderful retreat when the evenings got dark and cold and we'd had enough exploring.
Terri was a delight to liaise with, so we felt very confident that any queries or problems would be managed well...should we have had any.
If I had to get very picky and look for any downsides, the only slightly tricky thing was the alarm. The key could be a little temperamental and there wasn't a great deal of time between setting the alarm and removing the key after locking. However, we never did set the alarm off and I guess it added a little excitement to each departure!

Dear Terri, Thank you so much for letting us stay in your wonderful flat, so different from cold and unwelcoming hotel rooms. My family and me had a wonderful time in Paris, having had a few hearty meals around your table. The next time we revisit Paris your flat will be our first choice. With much appreciation of your hospitality, Evgeny (London and Russia - 5 adults - September 2010)

Dear Terri and Jean-Pierre, Paris was a real life experience for the family when starting out in your lovely, centrally located apartment, it was a great experience. We will certainly recommend your apartment to friends and hope we might return again one day. All the very best for you, Nadia (3 adults, 3 children from US)

What a charming apartment!
We just came back from a weeks visit in Paris with two children, 6 and 9, and this was ideal for our needs.
Its beautifully decorated, and very spacious. We were more used to Paris apartments with 'cozy' kitchens and bathrooms to say the least, but this apartment is NOT typical parisian in that sense... the bathroom is huge with everything you need and the kitchen was modern and very spacious. Made it very easy for us with children as we ate in most breakfasts and a few dinners, which helped our budget and the kids seemed to love it. With boulengeries and fromageries etc just down the street, we thoroughly enjoyed staying in and sampling the local foods and wines.
The sleeping quarters were quite spacious as well... with one of the beds being a loft, so a ladder was involved... I'm not all that thrilled with heights, climbing up to go to bed, but the children thought it was a ball and was hard to get them to come down.
The area of course was just what we expected, right in the heart of the Marais which is one of my favorite parts of Paris. We walked almost everywhere, and took a metro for the rest, which was very close by.
I'm coming back again definitely, and would recommend this place to anyone looking for the charm of Paris living as opposed to a hotel.
Thanks again!
My French husband Jean-Pierre and myself (I'm English) have been renting out our home in the Marais for a few weeks a year for 2 years. We have met people from all over the world and have been delighted to see the same people return a second time or send their friends, so we now have a guest book full of comments from the US, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, and all the European countries. We leave a list of our favourite restaurants, maps and guide books and of course are happy to arrange the booking of taxis, restaurants, or just give them help in any way which makes their stay in our apartment a pleasant home from home.
