The apartment which measures 80m² (862 sq feet) was modernised by an architect in 2008. It is on the 2nd floor (3rd american floor), without a elevator (but easy walk up), situated in a quiet street very close to food shops, clothes shops, museums and galleries. It is very light, with high windows onto the street and onto the cobbled and planted courtyard, solid oak floors and beams. The furniture is a mixture of modern and antique. One bedroom is on the street, which is very quiet, and the other on the courtyard. Bedroom 1 has its own large en-suite bathroom (bathtub, large shower, 2 washbasins, toilet), cupboards and chest of drawers. The second bedroom has a double sleeping area on a mezzanine, with an easy step ladder to access it - but you cannot stand up in the sleeping area. It is not suitable for children under 7. In this bedroom there is also a desk, chairs and cupboard. The large kitchen has fridge, freezer, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, coffee maker, washing machine and dishwasher. Also provided is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and electric fans.
The sitting room (430 sq feet) has a dining table which seats 8 people, a sofa and leather armchairs, flat screen television + DVD. There are large modern steel doors between the kitchen and the sitting room, so the kitchen can be closed off.
The second bathroom has a shower, small washbasin and toilet.
There is free WIFI connection in the apartment.
Just around the corner is the bustling rue de Bretagne, with many food shops, cafés and restaurants. The area is well known for the many boutiques, and the Picasso Museum is 5 minutes' walk away. The Marché des Enfants Rouges is a delightful covered market, with open air cafés and food stalls.
It is not suitable for the disabled. Children are welcome (there's a playground 3 minutes' walking distance away). Baby cot and high chair available if necessary.
