This duplex apartment is located on the fourth floor (5th for the USA) of a four floor walk-up stone building.  
 
The entrance door opens onto a staircase that leads to a small hallway. On the right is the bathroom. The living room/ sleeping area is straight ahead. The open kitchen is accessible through the living room.  
 
The 14m² living room is furnished with a single sofa bed, an armchair, a small wooden table with two chairs, a TV, a lamp and a closet. There is a 12m2 mezzanine with a double size bed. The two French windows open onto a balcony overlooking the street. 
 
The kitchen is equipped with two hotplates, a microwave (microwave and regular oven functions), a washing machine, a stainless sink, a fridge, a table with chairs, a kettle, a coffee maker and a toaster. All the necessary ustensils are in the cupboards. 
 
The bathroom has a bathtub, a washbasin and a toilet. 
Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered. 
 
There is a walk-in closet in the apartment and a cupboard

This apartment is located next to the historic place de la Bastille (Opera de Paris) on the lively street rue du Faubourg St Antoine which is well-knowned for its nice restaurants, shops and bars (e.g; Bario Latino, La Fabrique, rue de Lappe). Rue du Faubourg St Antoine is frequented by fashionable people. The heart of this area is the historic Place de la Bastille and its Opéra Bastille dedicated the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. Within a short walk is place des Vosges, known for its art galleries, antique shops. The famous French novelist Victor Hugo lived here. and wrote his novels (Les Misérables). The building is very conveniently situated in an inside court, above the famous bookstore called "l'Arbre à Lettres". The nearest metro stations are St Paul (line 1) and Bastille (lines 1, 5, 8).
