Within walking distance to Opéra, Montmartre/Sacré Coeur, Canal St Martin and Les Halles, only 5-min walk to Gare du Nord station, 10-min. walk to Gare de l'Est station. Available 10-31 July 2009 and 2-17 August 2009 (for 2nd half of August, contact owner). Metro stations: Poissonnière, Gare du Nord, Barbès-Rochechouart, and several bus lines (42, 48, 30, 31, 54, 56). Solid, 19th century stone building (keeps the heat out in summer) surrounded by quiet court yards, no windows giving onto street, but plenty of sunlight. Parisian charm, herringbone oak floors, moulded high cielings, plants. Fourth-floor walk up (no elevator), friendly neighbours, family-friendly building. One bedroom with double bed, one bedroom with single bunk bed & single child's bed, one living room with sofa bed (small double bed). Small kitchen, small bathroom with full-size bathtub/shower, small separate toilet. Equipped kitchen: Stove/oven, mw oven, double sink, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, large fridge/freezer. Stereo, TV, VHS, DVD, computer w/internet access. Gas heat, No A/C but can sleep with windows open -- quiet and SAFE!
