4 Bedroom Cottage in Ile-de-France (Paris Area)

Alba cottage is situated between Compiègne and Soissons on the N31 and between Attichy and Vic sur Aisne on the D81. This stylish and newly renovated stone farmhouse is located in a small rural village called Bitry (60350) in the heart of the French Picardie region. Our property has been awarded a 3 star rating by the famous "Gites de France" association. For your convenience, the owners Paul and Caty speak fluent English, French and Spanish. 
 
The property offers 4 stylish and spacious en-suite bedrooms of which one is a family room that can sleep four. A total of 10 people can be accommodated at one time. All rooms are equiped with an internet connection, a flat screen TV (French channels only) and a complimentary refreshments tray (tea, coffee, water, biscuits). 
 
BEDROOM TULIPE: 
Situated on the ground floor, Tulipe room has been fully renovated in 2009 with style. It has a king size bed (160x200), a wardrobe, a desk, an en-suite shower room with WC, flat screen television (French channels only) and a refreshments tray with tea, coffee, and water. 
 
BEDROOM AZUR: 
Situated on the ground floor, Azur room has been fully renovated in 2009 with style. It has 2 single beds (90x200), a wardrobe, a desk, an en-suite shower room with WC, flat screen television (French channels only) and a refreshments tray with tea coffee and water. 
 
BEDROOM CAMÉLIA: 
Situated on the 1st floor, Camelia room has been fully renovated in 2009 with great style. It has one king size bed (160x200), a wardrobe, a desk, an en-suite bathroom with WC, flat screen television (French channels only) and a refreshments tray with tea, coffee, and water. 
 
BEDROOM ROSES: 
Situated on the 1st floor, Roses is the familly room which has been fully renovated in 2009 with great style. It has two seperate rooms. The master bedroom has one king size bed (160x200), a chest of drawers, a desk, an en-suite bathroom with WC, flat screen television (French channels only) and a refreshments tray with tea coffee and water. The adjoining room has 2 single beds (90x200), a wardrobe and a desk.

Our rates include breakfast which is served between 07.30 and 10.30 am either in your room or in the lounge. It can also be served outdoors on the patio (weather permitting). We would like our guests to arrive between 4.00 and 7.00 pm for check in and check out needs to be by 11.30 am on the day of your departure. You can relax and enjoy a large mature garden with a variety of fruit trees and a terrace area for dining "alfresco". A pool table and table tennis table are available as well as board games.

The courtyard can accommodate 4 vehicles at any one time. 
 
There are many things to visit in the area such as Compiègne, Pierrefonds and their respective castles.Also nearby are the Armistice museum, the Vic dungeon, and several 1st World War memorial sites and museums. The town of Soissons and its cathedral is only a 20 minute drive away. For those who like the forest, you can enjoy over 14 400 hectares of the Compiègne forest either on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. There are also several fishing lakes in the vicinity, two of them less than one mile away in Attichy. Fishing competitions occur several times a year. Daily permits can be purchased through the owers of the property. There are also many 12th century churches in the area one of which is in Bitry.The property is also only a 50 minute drive from Eurodisney, Parc Asterix, Charles de Gaulle and Beauvais airports.
