The fully equipped kitchen is light and cool and easy to work in. The master bedroom has and en suite bathroom and the twin room has an en suite shower room. There is plenty of drawer and hanging space for clothes. The sitting room is spacious and light and has French doors leading onto the balcony where one can have meals, a drink and just sit and enjoy the view across the valley to the sea in the far distance. Here you will see Kites flying past, sometimes so close that you can almost touch them. In the evenings the Swifts gang up and swoop past the balcony in a frenzy of feeding. Little Sardinian warblers flit about in the olive trees and greater spotted woodpeckers are often seen feeding on the trunks of the fire trees. At the right time of year butterflies are everywhere. The garden is terraced and there is a patio where one can enjoy a barbeque and sit with a glass of wine and watch the sun setting across the valley.

There are many activities for all ages in the surrounding towns, villages and mountains. Corsica is a place for walking and here in the mountains there are so many walks to choose from. Easy strolls to hard all day hikes and lots in between. A popular sport these days is abseiling down waterfalls and there are many strong fast flowing rivers in the gorges and valleys for this activity to take place. Guides are available in Calvi and Ile Rousse. From Calvi one can take a boat trip to visit the wonderful marine nature reserve of Scandola where the Ospreys can be seen in their nests or feeding their young. One can also take a train fom Calvi or Ile Rousse and ride through the mountains to Corte or Ajaccio. Great fun. The spectacular beaches of Lozari and Ostraconi are 30 minutes drive down through the mountains, passing through the villages of the Balagne where one can visit the many Artisans studios and buy their produce.
