Just a couple of minutes from the sea, in the heart of the beautiful town of Calvi, Casa Paradis is situated within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, marina, citadel and shops. It’s the perfect base for a relaxing self-catering holiday for families, couples and groups of friends alike, and the extra expense of car hire is a choice, not a necessity. This stylish home is spacious and very well-equipped, comfortably sleeping up to 8 people (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms). And, unusually for such a central location, it has a lovely private patio garden, perfect for relaxing outdoor dining. Casa Paradis is typical of the style of building to be found all over the island, with wooden shutters and tiled floors throughout. Recently refurbished, and with regular updating and improvements made every year, the interior is modern, contemporary and comfortable.  
 
A gate leads into the private walled patio garden. A central mulberry tree provides a natural parasol, perfect for alfresco dining. There is garden furniture and a Weber barbecue. Steps lead up to the front door and a small terrace.  
 
On the ground floor there is a modern, very well-equipped kitchen with quality appliances and utensils including a Smeg range oven, Bosch washing machine and dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, plenty of plates, dishes and glasses, cookware, coolbox and picnic set. There is also a Moroccan mosaic table and chairs.  
 
The living room has three comfortable sofas, an open fireplace, and a traditional wooden dining table with seating for 8. Entertainment provided includes satellite tv including English language and sports channels, dvd player, cd stereo, telephone & WiFi wireless adsl, books, guidebooks and games.  
 
All the bedrooms are tastefully furnished with comfortable beds, clapperboard wardrobes, ceiling fans, mirrors, chairs, teak bedside tables and lights. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor, and a double bedroom and two twin bedrooms on the first floor. 
 
There are two bathrooms on the first floor: the family bathroom has a full-length bath with shower attachment, a separate shower cubicle, two large sinks, storage space and a hairdryer. The second bathroom has a shower cubicle, sink, storage and a hairdryer. 
 
There is a separate toilet on each floor.

Calvi’s main beach is only a 10 minute stroll from Casa Paradis, and beachlovers will not be disappointed. As it’s 6 km long, there’s plenty of room for everyone, and its fine sand and gently-shelving bottom make it ideal for children of all ages. Restaurants and cafe bars are dotted along the beach, and a variety of watersports, including hobie-cats and kayaking, are on offer. The beach is backed by shady pines and sand dunes, concealing an adventure playground and tennis courts. Only a couple of minutes from Casa Paradis is the secluded and little-known beach Plage Roncu, ideal for snorkelling and exploring. The marina is where you’ll find several dive schools, yachts offering sailing trips and boats for hire. Other activities available include horseriding, tennis, mini-golf, quad-bike safaris, an aerial assault course and mountain biking. There are some excellent walks, and nature lovers will enjoy the flora, fauna and bird-watching.

Prices are for the whole house per week (max 8 people) and include a weekly supply of bed linen and towels, and WiFi internet connection. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. We accept payment via bank transfer or credit card using PayPal. We also require a breakages deposit of €300. This is payable in cash on arrival and will be returned to you at your departure.
