The S&W enjoys an enviable position in the heart of the old town on one of the small cobbled streets just off the main square, in a building worn by age abd with an old staircase. But don't be deterred, the climb up of the four storeys is well worth it, at the top an apartment very cosy and full of charm awaits you, as do the lovely sea view. On the hansome main square with its pavement cafés you can sit, watch old men play boules and listen in all the local gossip over your "croissants and café au lait" but, if you wish to venture further afield, you cab catch the little train and beachhop all along the coast to Calvi or set off on a day's journey through the mountainous interior.
