Pontlevoy is a village full of character built around its 11th C.abbey, its 15th C.Chapel & 18th C. Royal Military School called The National Military College after the Revolution which attracted students from all over Europe and famous people studied in its walls. Today,itis the home to the European-American Centre for International Education striving to facilitate global unification through pursuits in education, economic development and cultural tourism.
Those impressive buildings are the witness to nearly a thousand years of history and are still perpetuating a vocation for teaching and for the Arts. During the Summer season the highly regarded Music Festival is housed in the Abbey building called 'Manège 'as well as other exhibitions and entertainments theatrical company ).
