Rental Details in Euros.
A 10% discount is offered to those staying a fortnight; extra discount given to regular customers. Off season flexibility applies for those who want to stay less than a week although a one week minimum stay during the Summer season is still very popular and strongly advisable.
A 40% non-refundable deposit to be paid when booking. The balance plus a security deposit amounting to the nearest Sterling equivalent to ( 100€ ) is payable 8 weeks before rental period commences otherwise reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment. Water and electricity charges are included in the price from May 1st until Sept 15th * and a refund of the Security deposit minus extras ( sheets, continental quilt, household linen ), damages and cleaning charges if they apply is made 15 days after the end of your stay. *Other dates may require heating and we have to make a charge for this.

PONTLEVOY is situated in the very heart of the chateau district allowing you to save petrol as within a radius of 40 miles you will discover many interesting old buildings and chateaux dating from Mediaeval times to the XVIIth C., museums, parks,lakes going through forests ( horse riding is possible), flat and hilly lands.Riding, cycling, walking along the Loire et Cher valleys are recommended as well as cazoeing, boating on the rivers or swimming near by to enjoy yourselves and have a good time.
Pontlevoy is a village full of character built around its 11th C.abbey, its 15th C.Chapel & 18th C. Royal Military School called The National Military College after the Revolution which attracted students from all over Europe and famous people studied in its walls. Today,itis the home to the European-American Centre for International Education striving to facilitate global unification through pursuits in education, economic development and cultural tourism.
Those impressive buildings are the witness to nearly a thousand years of history and are still perpetuating a vocation for teaching and for the Arts. During the Summer season the highly regarded Music Festival is housed in the Abbey building called 'Manège 'as well as other exhibitions and entertainments theatrical company ). The street museum depicts 20th C. rural life. 25 panels placed in the vicinity of their illustration is an invitation to compare past & present village life.Wine store rooms, a cheese-making farm(goat's cheese) are open to visitors. L'Hôtel de l'Ecole is a highly recommended place for eating tasty dishes inside or outside in the garden with its greenery and 'sous la pergola'.
The International Garden Festival in Chaumont open from May to October attracts people keen on design, ornemental plants and flowers and the display based on a specific theme changes every year. Everyone should be able to enjoy spending his/her holidays
