The site consists of a two bedroomed self cater gite and also four newly decorated chambres d'hotes bedrooms.
Vacation Rental Description
Nestled in leafy walled gardens, Domaine de la Chapelle is situated in a peaceful spot amidst the vineyardsof the Touraine. Our traditionally built stone longère (old style farmhouse) and renovated Grange (barn) date back
to the 15th/16th century and are thought to be previously the farm buildings of a Château formerly on
the adjoining land.Domaine de la Chapelle consists of a 2 bedroom self catering Gite situated in a private spot at the far end of the longère, with its own entrance and a large enclosed garden with decked sun terrace.The gite is light and airy with a well equiped kitchen area and modern family bathroom. Also on the site, located in both the main family house and in the renovated barn are 4 pretty chambres d`hotes, where we offer French style bed and breakfast and at certain times of the year, table d`hote dinner. Each bedroom has a modern private bathroom and each has access to either a balcony or a sun terrace from which this lovely natural setting can be enjoyed.
Two double bedded rooms, a family room and also a family suite are available.
Facilities
The self catering gite is situated in a private area at the far end of our longere. With one double room with kingsized bed and a twin room,there is plenty of space for a family of four. There is a private terrace and private part of the garden as well as use of the play area for children in the main garden. The chambres d'hotes are situated in the old barn and also one in the main house. All chambres d'hotes bedrooms have been designed and furnished to a high standard. There is a large peaceful garden of 6000m2 together with a chapelle dating from the fifteenth century. Full details can be viewed on our website, www.domaine-de-la-chapelle.net.

The chambres d'hotes are rented on a daily basis from €58 Euros per night for two people including breakfast. Normally a deposit of €20 per night is taken as a deposit for the chambres d'hotes. The balance is paid on departure either in Euros, cash or sterling cheque. The deposit for the gite is €75 and the balance is paid two weeks before arrival. The payment may be made in sterling if desired. No credit cards are accepted.

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful week's holiday in the Loire region, where we were based in the gite at Domaine de la Chapelle. The description of the property if anything understated the location and amentities! The property was exceptionally clean and well provided for in every respect, with an attention to detail that to date we have not come across in other rental properties. The last thing you want on a self-catering holiday is a poor property - we lacked nothing here! Phillip and Rebecca were excellent hosts, with a warm welcome and just the right amount of personal interest to ensure we were having a good time and that everything was ok with the gite. From our own experience and observations, we consider them to be fully committed to providing excellent customer service both to any staying in the gite and those in the chambres d'hotes. We would definitely recommend this propperty to friends and family.
It is in an ideal location to visit the chateaux and vineyards of the Loire. The property itself is in well cared for grounds with their own privacy, and yet once you step outside of the front gates you have lovely views over the River Cher, its valley and not too distant the town of Montrichard. Now we're into chateaux in a big way, and it says much for the gite's location, that we managed to visit sixteen of these beautiful castles and mansions during the week, with probably some of the crown jewels in Chambord and Chenonceau just a short drive away. With the amount of entrance fees paid, we tended to self cater literally, but can say that the town of Tours boasts a good selection of restaurants!
Take our advice, this place is excellent value for money! But you will have to be quick to book up because we're on the job for 2009! -

Our gite in the Loire Valley was everything we had hoped for. It was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Our private outdoor patio and garden was perfect. We spent many hours outside enjoying the beautiful landscape; There was ample room for our visiting granchildren to run and play, and also a swingset; Rebecca and Phillip were very accomodating and helpful in every way. The Loire Valley is a gorgeous area with many things to see and do including an underground city we found unbeliveable and the gite is in a location which makes everything accessable. Not only would we recommend this property to everyone we know, we would definitely stay there again. R&B San Francisco,CA USA

We have just returned from a great week in the Loire. Domaine de le Chapelle is in a brilliant location for exploring the Loire / Cher area. Villandry was amazing, Chenonceau was great, the kids enjoyed the zoo @ Beauval and we returned with a dozen bottles from the caves of Monmousseau in Montrichard.
Philip, Rebecca and Lara were great hosts, the gite was light, airy, well equipped and comfortable and the gardens were full of fruit and nut trees (& red Squirrels) and a swing. My daughter also fell in love with Basil the little fluffy dog.

We had a lovely week staying at Domaine de la Chapelle. The gite is well equipped and has a large private garden, which the children loved. It is well located for visiting the chateaux and exploring the local area. There are lots of great cycle routes nearby too. Many of them are car free and flat, so perfect for children. Phillip and Rebecca are friendly hosts. Highly recommended. - Family Kemmer, April 2010
