Carefully renovated to retain its character with original exposed beams. La porcherie is part of an old farm "Le Grand Pré" (the great meadow) which is set in a tranquil rural location, with unspoilt views of the gently rolling countryside. The night sky is full of stars and a sight not to be missed. A perfect place for relaxing and a safe environment for the children to play. The site is 200m off a quiet country lane with open fields all around and very private, yet only 8km from the old market town of La Châtre with all amenities and many excellent restaurants. An area which still retains its traditional French lifestyle with many Chateaux,forests,lakes and rivers to explore. An excellent base for walking,cycling and exploring. The quiet country lanes are perfect for cycling. The resident English owners live across the garden in the farmhouse and look forward to making your stay as comfortable as possible offering help and advice when needed.

Cottage has well equipped kithchen with ample worktop space and breakfast bar. There is a downstairs toilet as well as the bathroom upstairs. Logburner for those chilly evenings in Spring and Autumn with wood provided. All bed linen, towels and tea towels are also provided.

There is a inland lake with a beach area, rowing boats and pedalos for hire at Sidiailles approximately 32km away.  
Tennis, International Golf course, Fishing and horse riding within 10 minute drive. Numerous local walks well signposted. Further afield there is a theme park and Zoo, approx. 2hour drive.

A £50 (per week) non refundable deposit is required upon booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer, in Euros or British pounds. A £100 damages bond is payable with final payment which will be refunded within 14 days of departure subject to satisfactory property inspection. 10% discount given on all two week bookings. Cot and high chair available at no extra charge.
