If you are looking for a really memorable holiday in a charming French cottage/gite beside a beautiful private carp-fishing lake in the Loire Valley? Well, you’ve just found the perfect place! 
 
Spend idyllic days relaxing around a sparkling, heated 12x6 metre swimming-pool and play area, sit in the hot-tub spa or explore the lake and 15 acres of magnificent tree-lined grounds, fields and woods surrounding this peaceful 17th century watermill. This is a very special place in France and we are certain you will not be disappointed. 
 
Le Moulin de Boutineau and its three fully-restored and equipped gites lies in the tranquil countryside heart of the picturesque Loire Valley Chateaux and Vineyard region, but importantly for a great holiday it is not too remote - just 2 kms from the famous medieval city of Loches, with its own chateau, restaurants, café’s, bars, shops and lively twice-weekly market packed with mouth-watering rural produce from ‘The Garden of France’. 
 
The three delightful cottages (for either 6, 4+1 or 2 people) can also accommodate an exclusive party of 12+, and all have their own garden/patio and barbeque area, as well as cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, TV/DVD/stereo CD, full central heating and access to washing/drying facilities.

The weather in this central part of France is usually wonderfully balanced with gorgeous Spring’s starting in March, while in the long summer months temperatures are often in the 80’s & 90’s, and the golden Autumn’s can last until November. 
 
We are only three hours drive from Caen or St Malo ferries and about four from Le Havre, or you can fly from Stansted with Ryanair to Tours, hire a car and arrive at the Moulin in 40 minutes.     • Loches (2kms) has everything you might need for shopping including two large supermarkets as well as traditional French boulangeries and patisseries. There is also an excellent twice weekly market for cheeses/saucisson/fresh fruit and vegetables etc. 
    We have a file of leaflets detailing all the different activities/visits/chateau's available nearby and have sampled most of them in our five years here so can also offer advice if needed.
