The ‘Cher’ Valley or Loir-et-Cher. From its source in Mèrinchal, not far from the plateau of ‘Millevaches’, the river ‘Cher’ flows to ‘Villandry’, where it meets with the Loire after a journey of 350 kms. 
It passes through a region of numerous treasures: Roman ruins, medieval towns, Romanesque Churches, large Châteaux and museums. 
Chanfrenon’, in a small hamlet, is an old, modernised farmhouse, full of charm, with large enclosed garden, which has mature cherry, peach, plum and apple trees, also Fir, walnut and willow, with a variety of shrubs, which all provide welcome shade, when required. 
 
All the garden furniture provided, including sunloungers, BBQ etc, may be placed anywhere in the garden, according to preference. 
 
First floor accommodation provides a pleasant double bedroom, complete with Four-poster bed. A twin bedded room, separate, bright bathroom, with shower, w.h.b. toilet. 
 
Ground floor consists of compact kitchen, with electric kettle, toaster coffee maker, microwave, full gas cooker, washing machine, fridge, with small freezer compartment. All usual crockery,cutlery, stainless steel pans and utensils etc. 
 
Large comfortable Lounge/ dining room, with typical French furniture. Ground floor W.C.and W.H.B. 
TV for DVD’s and CD’S. Books, games ,cards, jigsaws . French doors leading to rear garden area.  
Enjoyable walks with your well behaved pets ! 
 
Altogether a lovely place to have a relaxing holiday, a little ‘gem‘ in a totally unspoilt rural part of France.

The property is situated in this part of very rural France but within easy reach of numerous lakes and ponds where all the activities of water sports, swimming, sailing, wind surfing, canoe kayak, boating is available. Other activities such as horse-riding, cycling, walking,tennis, flying and several golf courses are all around locally. 
 
Wine trails to follow. Route ‘Jacques Coeur’, wealthy merchant of the middle ages. Visit the home of historical literary legend, ‘George Sand’ 
 
Culan approximately 8 kms, a medieval town with fine Château, celebrates medieval festivals. The large lake at Sidialles provides a beach and water activities – 6kms. Numerous excellent Restaurants to enjoy the full French experience. A perfect French country holiday location.
