Renovated in traditional style with stone feature walls and exposed oak beam ceilings throughout, this 60 m2 cottage sleeps 4-6 and suits families. It faces a large front court, where you can park under cover in one of the barns. The outdoor table and barbecue can be moved around the garden depending on the view you prefer – open fields, the old well, the barn walls. Dogs welcome. 
 
Downstairs is the master bedroom with garden view; large modern bathroom with big bath and shower; living/dining area with table seating six and sofa bed. The kitchenette is equipped with double sink, full fridge/freezer, microwave, double electric hotplate, electric mini-oven, pressure cooker, kettle, toaster and coffee-maker. (Washing machine is available for use in the main house.) 
 
Upstairs is an open loft area with two double beds, and a lounge area with TV, books, magazines and games.*  
 
The property is located at the edge of the village, 200m away from bakery, butcher, convenience store, pharmacy, wine cave, bar, restaurant and tourist office where you can hire bicycles and the key for the village tennis court.  
 
The nearest lake for swimming or boating is less than a 10-minute drive. The marked walks that take you through hamlets and woods, including areas that sheltered the Resistance and their British friends during WWII, start at your doorstep. 
 
*Please note that children are very welcome but the stairs leading to upper bedroom/TV area are not suitable for toddlers.

There are lakes in two directions from the cottage for swimming and pedal-boating. Seven or 20 minutes drive.

Booking is secured with a 10% deposit, balance to be paid one month before arrival date. Payment can be made by direct transfer to French or Australian bank account, or by cheque. Rate cited above does not include 40 euro cleaning fee, but does include a welcome package of fresh bread, bottle of wine, home-made jam, tea, coffee, butter and milk. Bed linen 5 euros per bed; towels (includes face washer, hand towel, bath towel and outdoor towel) 4 euros per person.
